I just read a review for a product that I'm about to write a review on. It was posted off-site. As far as I could tell it was someone's personal blog entry and mentioned the product in the briefest of ways. It mostly compared it to all the other DVD's the author has seen.

I'm sending an email to Gary and Victoria, but I'm wondering if anyone else has run into off-site reviews that are really nothing more than providing links back to Eden.

To be honest, I can't believe they will provide product and accept a review at all of this quality.

(No... I'm not listing the review individually...)

I have seen a few that leave me wondering if it was supposed to be an actual review or a blurb. None from EF that I remember though. Was it an verified review?

No. "This content is the opinion of the submitting contributor and is not endorsed by EdenFantasys.com"

Someone purchased it on their own and submitted. But this is a link from the Eden site, and it shows up as a REVIEW. Posted offsite on their blog. Personally, I'm wondering if they care at all what's posted for off-site reviews...

Anyone know what the review process is for "off-site reviews" is?

I'm pretty sure that they should be kept just as high a quality as anything that's posted on the site.

Eden does have a guide page; link

So I dunno. I guess it depends on how long this review was, or if they decided it was okay since it was a comparison?

I am actually wondering about this now because if you do a non-sponsored type review of your own toys the review publishes immediately. So that means the administrators don't look it over to approve it (hence the "This content is the opinion of the submitting contributor and is not endorsed by EdenFantasys.com" ). I am assuming it is the same way with the non-sponsored (I am referring to the ones we get free of course) off-site reviews.

Now I am also wondering if the administrators head over and read the reviews on our blogs like the do the ones we submit to the site. I think this poses a really good question.

I got DBD's email, and like we suggested to her - please contact Drew directly with concerns and questions about the Offsite reviews. He arranges and manages the Offsite reviews and can better explain the differences / variations from the guidelines. drewg@webmerchantsinc. com
