Blogger No Longer Allows Adult Content

Contributor: xilliannax xilliannax
I received an email this morning stating that Blogger wont be allowing adult content any longer.
I've been searching for a new blog site and have not been able to find a blogging site (besides tumblr) that allows adult content.
What do you guys use?

Do they?
Incredible. I hate the stuffy smuggy morals.

I've been using blogger up to now. when happened that? What happened to your blog?

Do you know Livejournal as a blogging platform?

I am not at all surprised with the way Google is spanking sites over adult content these days...

I use wordpress through GoDaddy for my site ~Airen Wolf Reviews~. Tumblr isn't terrible, I've heard Weebly is good as well.

Bautiful site.

So you rent webspace on which you installed wordpress, aren't you?

Sorry for that stupid question, I'm quite new to this topic.

Wordpress on the wordpress.com-site does not allow affliate stuff, but I guess you will not have this problem if aou install WP at your own webspace...

I dont want to use tumblr because my posts are HUGE and I try to use my tumblr to promote my cam shows and videos while I use my blogger for my toys and personal experience (i get a little deeper there)

I'm glad I just learned about this, I'm deleting my blogs as I type this. I had put all my fanfiction on there, and honestly, it was a hassle for me, I don't know why I didn't do this sooner.

Then why did they send everyone a notification stating that their blogs would not be compliant with their new policies?

Sadly, Google has not made those policies clear; I read their "policy" page. It is very short and vague.

Adult content is fine for now on blogger. You cannot however post links to other sites with adults content or affiliate links.

If you are blogging just for fun: just pay attention to the Terms of Service and stay on the right side of their arbitrary rules that they apply as they wish.

If you are blogging for fun and can afford it: Get a domain and hosting. It isn't hard to set up and can be done for less that what one luxury toy costs (and it will be up and working for a whole year)

If you are SERIOUS about blogging, regardless of content: Get a domain and hosting. It really is the only way to go if you want complete freedom in what you post. Most hosts don't care what you psts [so long as your aren't breaking the law.]

I never got a notification, I assume they sent notifications to people who are not in compliance.
