The off-site review widgets could use some work

So I had never posted an off-site review until today, and I must say I am pretty disappointed in the widget that I have to post along with my review. The code is insanely long, and, to my surprise, it's not even Flash... it's just a table. I could find no way to center the widget on my blog, and the star/vroom/bee ratings were not showing up at all, so I had to just take that row out. I know I'm not the only one who has had these problems, either.

It strikes me as odd that Eden obviously has the capacity to make Flash-based widgets, yet these widgets are not based on Flash at all. Why? And can it be changed?

I'm so zoned out tonight but your Twitter post spurred me on to come reply right away since a) I am awake and b) I've had the same issues and more.

The widgets used to work fine for me. Then one day they didn't work at all. Then they got sort of fixed but work sorta half assed; no bees and vrooms and they don't want to center and sometimes they freak out and go all outside of my post template and I have to mess around for an eternity to fix them.

It's odd.

Mine have always automatically centered themselves.

I used to have a problem resizing them- I have to manually change the width from 395px down to 295px and in the past, this change in sizing would cause the stars and buzzes and ratings to go whacko- I altered the widths tonight and 0 problems so I think those issues have been fixed.... or maybe I juts got lucky?

Yuck, that's totally lame. And that's another thing... what if I change my template and it decides it doesn't like the HTML? I wouldn't be surprised if that happened, and it would suck.

I have a hunch the centering has to do with Wordpress in some way.

You should be able to have whatever template you like without issues (as long as the widget is working fine). Besides the code being invalid, I've never had an issue but it is messy.

If I copy something into the WYSIWYG editor in WP, switch to HTML and switch back, it sometimes becomes un-centerd.

That happens to me too. I cannot for the life of me center this widget, though.

Change the first line of code to < div style="width:395px; margin:auto" >
