How do you guys balance your point activities daily?

virtualmirage virtualmirage
Though I found out about Eden since July I had no clue about the points program till about a month and a half ago. Imagine how many points I missed in all that time. Okay so since finding out I have been trying to take advantage of the program but have a hard time keeping track of what I can do daily. I do go to the page that shows the activities and amounts you get but since I am a bit new to the site I am having a hard time doing some stuff.
How do you keep track on a daily basis, so that you can do as many steps as possible?

I don't. I just do whatever I was going to do during a day anyway, and get points for whatever I do. I don't stop when I've hit my limit of posts in the forums or voting on reviews. To me, the points are an extra bonus, so I've never worried about trying to max out on points each day.

Took the words right out of my mouth, I move throughout the site but I don't do it for points. I like reading up on things and enjoy conversations in the forums, I would never think of stopping because I hit the "limit" for the day. There are alot of things I could get points for but I don't do them for "points" sake.

I've discovered this lately too. I find that I stay on the forum and read and post and do it because it is really interesting. I even found discussions on TV and books which will now keep me here even longer.

I do not keep track of exactly what I do because that takes away the fun. I always just try to make sure to post on the forums daily so I can get those points daily atleast.

I like reading reviews adn participating in the forums, so I get points for doing what I like.

I never max out on points because I don't do all that I can to earn as many points as possible. I could and should do more than just reading reviews and the forums.

I am with everyone else. I do find it fun when I get points for doing something I did not know even gave me points. I love the forums. Really did not know how addicted I would get to EF.

Unlike almost everyone everyone else who posted, I like maximizing my points. It encourages me to do things that I may not have done that day in other circumstances. Trying to get in all my searches or comments means that I stumble across a lot of products that I wouldn't have otherwise found.

When I joined the points program I basically looked at the list, thought, ok, I can easily do this, this and this everyday without really going out of my way, or feeling like I'm just spamming for free money. Now it's become a routine. I log in, do my searches based on what I'm thinking of buying, set up some comparisons and whatnot, and usually a few new toys end up added to my wishlist that I wouldn't have had any interest in had I not read their reviews while trying to get my daily points.

I just do things and if I end up doing more in some areas - like here in the forum or writing on walls - over my points allowance, I'm not worried cause I'm enjoying myself.

I do my thing but at the same time I have a copy of the list saved on the comp so I can check off what I have done so I remember what else I can do. If I just do what I would normally do I would completly forget the fourm exists.

one thing you can do is change your settings so that the pop up stops when you've reached your daily limit of that action.

Keeping track of it is more trouble than it's worth. Most things only get you five points (about 5 cents, depending on if they ever change the conversion rate) anyway. If you spend time thinking about what you have and haven't done, that's more time that you could have been enjoying the site and racking up points anyway.

If I see something I want, I put it on my wishlist. If I think to myself, "Oh, I believe the pop-ups had said I'd run out of wishlist-placing points and I should really wait until tomorrow to add this" then the next day I might forget about adding a really wonderful toy to my wish list and never ultimately buy it. It's not worth that hassle and risk just to get 5 extra cents another day.

Plus, I've noticed that when I'm on Eden and I think "I've been on here [X] hours, I wonder how many points I got today" and then check my points, it usually works out to about 100 points per hour (a dollar per hour) for me. So it's much easier to make that money directly by working at a job, unless you really enjoy being here anyway. If you enjoy being here anyway, then those points are just a nice perk of being here, and spending the time to keep track of them would probably lessen the rate at which you earn them.

I guess I am in the minority. I'll be honest, I do a lot for the points. I enjoy being here in the community, but having always struggled with money, the points help me maintain my love of sex toys while not breaking my budget. I log on for about an hour a day (give or take and not every day) just to look and browse and be part of the community. It's like my new facebook. It is a bonus that I get points for stuff, but I'll admit, I wasn't on here as much before I found out about the points. It's a great program and I'm really thankful for it.

At first I kept track of them to some extent. Now I am on here a lot every day and like Sam I just do what I feel like, I read through the forum and answer polls that intrigue me, join in when I want, not for the points anymore it's more for the comraderie.

Right now I have almost $15 on points, just from 2 weeks and a half of logging in daily and doing a few things here and there. This is going to be nice to spend, it's really nice that they give us so much in return for being active.

So am I, it really helps to not spend so much. If I want something that is $30 I try to earn at least half of it in points and that way I feel good about not spending too much. I love it and now log in daily to get those free points!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I don't feel guilty; they have this system implemented for a reason and put the limits on where they think would be an acceptable range. I don't do EVERY SINGLE THING every day to max out my points, but as someone who has a low income and loves toys, this is a good way for me to make ends meet.
