I totally missed this...Thanks hun!

Can I mentor my partner? He is getting jealous of all my goodies so I told him to sign up and write his own darn reviews! He had so much fun helping me do the last video so I told him he should start writing. He's really a good writer, at least I think so.

If not, I don't have a problem with someone else taking him. But hey, since I know the ropes, it would be easier just yelling up and down the stairs, and I can get all over him if he is being lazy. LOL.

There is nothing to prevent this. I would only suggest that you be fair, and hold your partner to the same standards you would anyone else.

Cool, I"ll let him know..He's been thinking about joining for months now. I told him he better be serious and do a good job, but he writes several blogs online (unrelated to sex) so I know he can write well.

How long does a request to become a mentor usually take to be processed? I'm really looking forward to being able to take on students.

Actually if you go up to the top of the page there's a search box, and it'll search everything from products to contributors to forum threads

Is there still a gift card for this? If so, how does it get paid out?

I'm new and slightly clueless about the mechanics. O_O

When you graduate basic students you will get a $25 gift card and it'll show up in your list of on site gift cards. I'm not 100% sure about failing a basic student, I think that just gives you the same 500 points that graduating or failing an advanced student might.

Thanks! I know you don't get one for advanced reviewers, but it's all good. I'll do my part to help anyone out!

I just requested to be a student : )
I am curious, do you only sign up to one mentor or should I sign up with a few?
I only signed up with one as I am still trying to understand the full concept of the program, but was wondering if I should sign up with more mentors...

I've heard from some people that putting in more than one request at a time cancels out previous requests, but I've never had any personal experience with it. I might pick the person you really want to be your mentor and wait for a response and if you get nothing, cancel the request and move on to another

You can submit multiple requests, but the rest will be automatically canceled once one accepts.

Okay great! My mentor actually accepted so there is no need for me to request any other. Thanks for the replies!

I just applied and hope I get accepted!! I am really excited about helping other people write their reviews. This is a great program and I know having a mentor when I started was an excellent opportunity. She helped with navigation, explaining the details of the site and with my reviews. That is the kind of mentor I will be, there is less confusion on the site after people understand how to use it.

What do you do if it's been over a month and the Mentor you have still hasn't published any of your reviews and you haven't even heard from them?

You can cancel the class on your own. I'm not sure if getting a new mentor allows the drafts you've had to become submittable again, but if not you can copy everything into a word document so that tech can manually delete the review. I'm not up to speed on how that works, but I know you can get help by submitting a support ticket.

So I have a question about requesting push assignments for students. Sorry if it's already been answered but I don't want to dig though all the buried treasure around here, ya know?

OK, so to request a push for my student, I email Gary with the URL for the product requested, yes? And then... should I be choosing these in the same way as advanced reviewer assignments are? i.e. Product doesn't have very many reviews yet, it's new, or could use a review update from a different perspective

Question mark.

Thanks!

At this point you would email Justin (justin @edenfantasys.com) with the product code for the item you want. Including the product code rather than the URL makes things go faster for everybody, and once the assignment is made (if it can be) Justin will email you back and let you know. If it can't be, he'll let you know that too. And that's the way I've been choosing them, based on how many verified reviews an item has, and its price. My understanding was that for a mentor to request an item the item would have to be $30 or less, so that's what I've been sticking with.

Was this changed from e-mailing Gary? That's what I was always told to do.

It was never officially changed anywhere, but Justin was handed this duty. JR also does make mentor assignments sometimes as well, but Justin does most of it now

I believe they all get to the right place either way, but you'll get a much faster response emailing Justin
