I courtesy-followed someone and rated one of their reviews. It wasn't spectacular but it was good so I gave them a fair rating. Later on, they rated one of my reviews with the exact same rating. I think it was intentional. I don't mean to brag (I'm really not, as I'm just explaining my reasoning) but I figure they gave me the same rating on purpose because they were the only one who rated my review as anything other than "Extremely Useful" out of a good number of votes.
I don't care about ranking and all that but I do care about fair rating. I think the votes on someone's review should reflect the quality of their review. If someone voted poorly on my review (because the quality was bad), I would vote high on their review (if the quality was good). And vice versa.
How about all of you? Has this ever happened? Do you think it was on purpose? What's your opinion on people doing this?
