A couple months? I wrote a few mediocre reviews before joining the mentor program - I think I was in that program for maybe a month and a half before graduating to advanced.
I was on the site for months before I decided to become a reviewer. Once I made that decision, I joined the mentor program where it took me a little under a month to graduate.
I've been on EF for a while but mostly lurking. I have a little more time now and wrote some reviews that have afforded me to become an advanced reviewer. I have thoroughly enjoyed writing reviews as they test your descriptive vocabulary.
I was here for eight weeks (I wrote my first review my first day here) and had completed about eight reviews before I applied for Advanced Reviewer. I took it seriously and wanted to be sure I knew what I was doing.
A day or two. I know that does not happen though. If you go through mentoring program it is longer, but you get learn how to write better reviews. If you ask for the request than, it could be really fast, but your reviews may not be that great and may need to go through mentoring program anyway.
I sped through the mentor program. Maybe I didn't really need it? But I felt that I just needed an extra eye to make sure I was doing the best that I could. I think I was done in about a week, week and a half.
A few days but I am going through the mentor program anyway. I have reviewed books before on several sites so it is just a matter of learning what type reviews work best for EF.
The mentor program is a great program. I'm on my second mentor. The first one was great and helped me get used to the site, answered about a million questions I had, and helped me learn what needed to be included in the reviews etc. I wanted a different mentor for reviewing different items. I think it is nice to have the advice from those that have been here for a long time and know what's going on and what's expected.
