I just upgraded to advanced, and I got my first free item. I know you're only allowed one a month, so is it going to tell me when I can order something else, or do I just wait about a month and try again? I'm still kind of new to this whole thing.

When you go to grab an item, you can then click either write review or request assignment. When you click on request assignment, it will tell you what day you can request another item. Congrats on advanced and welcome to Eden!

Just remember, you can always do a buy out assignment or sometimes JR has items posted on the forum that needs to be reviewed. You are allowed to get one of those if you are between assignments. That thread can be found here: link
