I haven't been able to find an explanation on the site at all but I have a curious nature and am used to being a behind the scenes person. So how exactly does the rank system work? As opposed to activity and popularity?

To increase your rank, sign in. Then:
Vote on your reviews
Comment on other reviews
Respond to comments on your reviews
Write un-assigned reviews
Write follow up reviews.
Things you can't change that affect your ranking:
*Editorial Rank
*How many times other people vote for you
*The quality people place on your reviews when you vote.

I also have a question about ranking. My rank was up to 4.2 (yay!) then I posted two new reviews and it fell to 3.8, why would that happen? I am still pretty active on the site and no one really voted on my reviews, just was a little unsure as to how writing new reviews would make my ranking fall.
I'll be getting my next order with 5 toys in a couple days and I plan on writing reviews for all 5 of them after I've had adequate time with them. Will this make my rank fall again? I love the whole ranking idea and am excited about the reviewing, but I'm a little wary if writing a new review will make my rank plummet again.
