Buyout Option

TitsMcScandal TitsMcScandal
I wanted to review two items, but they said that since they already had enough reviews on them that I could not. That was fine by me, so I tried the 'buyout' option with the 30% off. All was fine and handy until after I entered my card information it said that the promo wasn't valid. I was wondering if this was because I was doing something wrong, or if I couldn't do that, or what the deal was. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I really would love these toys. And while I will eventually get them anyway, doing it with 30% off means I can get both now instead of just one... Thanks so much!!

I always thought that you could only use the buy out option with toys that did not have the maximum number of verified reviews on them. The buy out option just lets you review an unlimited number of toys instead of one at a time.

The reviews are assigned to contributors one of three ways.

2. Second are Buy Out Assignments. We offer a 30% discount on an item in exchange for a review. The review submission process is the same and the review is verified.

That was all I found about it. It doesn't say anything about only being able to review regarding to number of reviews already on the project. I hope that isn't the case, I just would like to know...

You can only buyout one item at a time. Once you're done reviewing it you can do it again. So only one of those items can be a buyout. But I did have a problem yesterday with tyring to check out. At first it wouldn't let me. So I went back into my cart and did it again and all was fine. No idea what that was about. So I would suggest just try again and see if it works.

Thanks Newme, I will try that.

Are you trying to do more than one toy at one time? If so that is the issue. You cannot have more than one out at a time.

Thanks, that was totally the issue. Silly me!!!

Odd. I got three buyout toys at once a couple weeks ago. I wonder if it allowing me to do so was a glitch? I thought that was part of the big changes we had awhile back, though, being able to do more than one at a time.

Hmm.

Weirdness.

You know, all this talk of only being allowed one toy at a time has be curious. last month i got 2 assignments, was that a glitch? it was my first assignment, maybe that was why? i had requested one, and then the admin assigned me one. MAybe it was just a glitch.

You can do a buyout, sponsored, and Ef sponsored at the same time (same order) but if you do only one in the order, you will have to turn in that review before you can do another type.

ahh ok. Thanks for clarifying. so since I accepted the item I requested first, and then accepted the item that the admin assigned me, I was able to get both?

If they were two different type of assignments, then you would be able to. I can't tell you what type they were, of course.

Actually, let me clarify: if you're assigned something then I think it gets to ignore all the rules. I was assigned something while I had a pending assignment. The power of admin and all that d=

This is true. If you have an item out you cannot order another, BUT if EF staff assigns you like 3 you can have all of them (kind of like an override because they assigned the item, you are not requesting it)

I had the same happen to me when I got the Jollies Thrust and the Liberator Throe. But I could only get one item via the buyout option this last order. I'm thinking it might have been a glitch.

I had a problem like this yesterday. I tried to do a buyout and it wouldn't go through, but then I read in this thread that you had experienced the same issue, so I tried to submit it again and it went through. I'm wondering if this is some kind of glitch?

This issue will be investigated further, we cannot reproduce it now.
Could you please describe what happens before you see the promotion error message? What is the exact text of the error message?

I had this happen today. When I was checking out. After I gave my cc info and pressed the final check out, I got an error message that said it was removing my discount. I had to redo my order about 3 or 4 times before it finally worked.

Oh, so if we have an assignment due, we can't order anything on buyout until the other assignment is turned in?

I need like a strap on and dildo and they don't come together! I wish we could order at least 2 items for a buyout, especially if you need both to make it work!

Get the dildo first, try it out alone, and then after finishing that assignment buy the harness. There are, however, many harness sets with good pairings that you might like.
