I'm not sure if this was mentioned somewhere, I've tried looking but came up with nothing. How many votes does a reviewer now need to become advanced? How long does it generally take to achieve that status with this new system?

Upgrade Requests
A major change! Reviewers still have to submit at least two (2) reviews of products they’ve already tried, but when they submit a request for upgrade, they have to make a personal statement to introduce themselves and explain why they want to be an Advanced Level reviewer. Then they instantly go up on the Community Homepage for votes. Upgrade requests are then decided by the community over a 2 week period. Only Advanced Level contributors are able to vote. Requesters still need to receive at least 5 votes to be approved for Advanced Level. Votes are based on writing quality and overall activity. As soon as they receive 5 votes, they are automatically upgraded and move into the ‘congratulations’ section of the Upgrade Requests area.
If a requester does not receive sufficient votes in the 2 week period, the upgrade request is removed and the reviewer will be able to submit a new request after they have submitted at least 2 more reviews. This gives those who do not get enough votes the opportunity to improve their reviews and become more active in the community.

I searched for the announcement for the community page instead of upgrade requests. That could be why.
