Questions about Review editors...

Contributor: loveme loveme
I am very interested in becoming a review editor here. For anyone who can answer my questions: What exactly do they look for in an editor? About how long does it take to get approved?

We have a post here that explains the program in some detail.

We look at many factors, which include performance on the editing test, contributor rank, writing ability (reviews, blogs, etc.), community involvement, relevant writing/editing experience, and the application request itself.

Currently rotations occur about every 3 months, and you can submit an application and take the test at any time before the next editors are selected and the next round begins. The applications remain on file until the actual rotation is done, and if you aren't approved, you can reapply.

I hope that helps!

It did, thank you so much for the help. Where do I do the test? Am I supposed to take it after approval?

Once you submit your request, Sammi will email you the test.

Thanks, Kindred!

The link I posted above will walk you through how to submit the request to be an editor, and after it's submitted you'll be emailed the test within a week.
