Just a quick question - when do products disappear from the product list? When the review is posted?
08/07/2009
Gary Gary
In the product search there is the "with(or without) reviews" filter, but now there is also the 'In Stock' column. Aside from the that, I don't think that they disappear, the current total product listing for search 'all' is 9911.

Wow! There are a ton of products listed now! From tradtional vibes to cyberskin asses! Woohoo! I'm in heaven. Now to decide on what to choose....

If you are having a tough time deciding, then I would suggest choosing something that you just can't go wrong with, such as... the inflatable Mail Order Bride for example.

I haven't done any of the "sponsored reviews" yet, so I'm still a bit unclear on some of the details. Obviously the interface itself is pretty simple to use, by selecting a sponsor from the drop down list, and seeing all the products they are offering as sponsored items. Where I'm confused is the "Price" though. Most of the items say "Not available for purchase," which I'm assuming means that we can select it to review at no cost. However, occasionally there are some products listed under a sponsor that have a dollar amount listed in the cost. Are those toys available for sponsored review? Is there a cost associated with them? Does it go by the EF rating system?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I can't seem to find the info on it anywhere. Please let me know.

Thanks!

Sorry, one more question I forgot. On the sponsored reviews, can we still request them if they show up as not in stock? Is that just for EF store inventory, or are they out of stock for review availability as well? It's just confusing to me because if they are not in stock for a sponsored review, why would they show up in the list?

Thanks again.

No, you cannot request an out of stock item. The list includes all items, so just check the 'hide out of stock products' button when you are doing an available product search.

"Not available for purchase" means that it hasn't gone live/is not publicly sold on EF yet. In other words, it's available for sponsored review, doesn't affect your 30 days count, etc. The products with a dollar amount just mean that the item is sold on EF, and depending on your contributor rank, you refer to those prices to know which products you can request. The product search goes through all products on EF, those that are already live, and those that are not. When you sort by price, all those available for sponsored review show up first. Once you get into numerical price territory, those are products you can only request through normal assigned reviews (or buy outs).

That makes sense, and was what I was looking for. Thank you very much.

Sorry, for some reason my response did not post. I may have accidentally hit the eject button.

Basically, almost all of the sponsored items are *New*, and have not been previously available for sale. So when we enter them into the system, the default 'pricing' for an item we are not currently selling is "Not available for purchase".

This is a working rule of thumb, there are occasionally a few exceptions to this.

Now when an items has a price, that means that we are currently selling that item.

As many as you like (while supplies last). You can request another sponsored assignment, as soon as you complete your last one.

Any chance the system will be updated so the In Stock column says 'No' as soon as an item has been assigned to someone? It looks like that change doesn't happen automatically. It can take weeks.

yeah, I wish the stock changed once people had requested it- ended up having to just try items a few times till I got an available one. And yeah Victoria.. I just never knew they were updated, though I am gonna email about getting into the description review program as well (I've been reviewing a while anyhow, lol )

I've gotten a whole string of assignments, both sponsored and standard, canceled in the past week. I'm not sure why, but I've noticed people tweeting about being assigned the same toys, so I suspect that it's an issue of who requested first.

Alright I just wanna make sure that me requesting something else wont get me scolded and/or banned from the site <3 I like it here

As long as you request within your price range and the review doesn't previously have reviews on it then you should be fine. IF the review has one review on it, it asks what you can add that the previous reviewer didn't include in their review.

If you are requesting a non-EF sponsored item and it's denied, try requesting another. I don't see how that could get you scolded/banned. You just have to request one that no one else has yet.

Yeah I know but the sponsored reviews are new to me. They dont have a price range, so I am just hoping that thats okay? I'm alright on normal reviews- never had one canceled except one that expired due to the review program changing over. These are just odd to me. I'll get through it though.

Yes, this is correct. Most of the sponsored items we receive, we only get one of. So once it has been requested and assigned, it is no longer available. However, it will remain 'in stock' until the item is shipped. I know this makes for a little bit of confusion, especially when a new product goes up and 5 people request within minutes of each other, and I appologize for this. If you have any questions about this, product availability, or why your request was decline, you can always email me at partners@edenfantasys. com.

Also, all assignments requests have been approved on a first come, first serve basis.

If your request was declined, you can and should request another product. If you are unsure of why your request was declined just send me an email at partners@edenfantasys. com.
