I wonder about something a lot...

I have received the Tie Downs Pair without the other tether for the second time already, receiving it as the replacement for a free assignment...

And as I know one can use free and buyout assignments alike only when both sorts have a review published on the previous ones already...

Because of having to send that one tether of the Tie Downs Pair back again I don't think that I will be able to use either the buyout and free assignments, though it isn't because I did something wrong, but because the same wrong item keeps on arriving instead of what I am supposed to receive...

Or will I still be able to use the assignments because of that?

What I have found, when something needs to be returned, is if you can get the item in the right size or configuration (in your case, you finally get a kit with two tie downs) you DO still have to do the assignment, albeit, it will take longer. That is taken into account. I've had it happen several times. You just have to be patient until the item reaches you and you have time to review and test it well.

If the problem cannot be remedied (as in a case where I was assigned a gown and neither of the sizes offered fit me properly] and I had to send them back, one at a time, as I tried them on, and was not able to get other items until it was settled) then you have to request the assignment be deleted, you MUST return the item and then once it is deleted from your cue, you may request an other item.

It took me 5 weeks to get through all the trouble with the gown, but it happens. Patience will see you through it.

Luckily I have never had a problem like the one you describe.

My problem is that I have turned down almost every free assignment offered to me - why?

I've done a fair number of reviews on some of the more expensive toys sold on EF, in spite of this and the very positive comments I get on my reviews - the free assignments offered to me have been low-end toys that I have no interest in.

I'm grateful for the discounts and the point system - but the free assignment portion of the program is dysfunctional. Maybe I'm just not hanging with the right crowd?

Hey Gunsmoke,

We get products to push from various different manufacturers. When I make these assignments, I simply go by number of current assignments. Sometimes, it gets tricky because the minority of bio-males and we have a few more masturbation sleeves come through.

It isn't too often that products considered "high end" come through for free Manufacturer sponsored review. They're usually assigned out, almost as fast as they come in sometimes.

JR - I know it's a lot to manage. It would be nice if my 'body of work' were taken into consideration when assignments are offered.

To answer wrmbreze's question - I have requested assignments for some toys, not often but I have. I do not recall ever getting an assignment in that way. There's a note that tells you it may take months.

Some probably don't get assigned because there are already enough reviews - and I respect that.

It's some of the new high-end toys that haven't been reviewed as much that I would find to be interesting as assignments.

I have requested a number of products for free assignment and I have never had to wait more than 24 hours for the product to be shipped out once it was approved. The message that pops up is a little confusing, because it seems like you have to wait 30 days. But, I think the intended message is that once you've received the assignment you have to wait 30 days before you can request another EF-sponsored assignment.

This! If it's a product with less than 3 reviews, is up on the list as a free assignment, and is in my price range it's always just takes one business day. Push assignments are very different than free assignments because they're sort of 'random!'

Well I will do it finally, knowing now that the Tie Downs "Pair" doesn't come in a pair at all and never will! I will just send it back and, hmmm, I don't know if I will be able to ask for something else instead of that thing... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.. . ~lays ears blushy

It sounds like it was the funniest or most annoying assignment story ever! Poorpoor P'Gell...

Well as I couldn't receive one more of that tether for free as I see (and I would NOT spend its price for one single tether, neither to have the other - though maybemaybemaybe) I will just send it back, and see what could be done to clean my assignment history up... Am feeling uncomfortable as hell about it... ~blushes redder than hell

Yep dear JR, if you want it I can send one straight to you, though I have already written about it to Megan, just poor girl must be extremely busy because mostly it takes a few days for her to respond...

Well, though the free assignment program indeed takes some attention to have an eye on it and keep up with the reviews and the timing, and not all the products are oh-so-fine on there too, I still live with it because it means even more material to write a (hopefully) helpful review on...
I am not as interested in those products too (though since I have decided that I could request kink toys and lingerie from there instead of the not extremely (just pretty much) appealing vibes and dildos I am much more enthusiastic about it), but a free toy is still a free toy, and if it isn't glass and doesn't vibrate and it is made of a safe and sturdy enough material then hell yes I want them too, because for example these tethers, they would have been the purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect riding reins for U/us! (Master rather asked for the Leather Tethercuffs though, because of the handy loop, but when I saw the Tie Downs was for free I just asked Him if it was ok and I ordered it because He was fine with it...)

So yep, I would have been incredibly happy for it because it is practically a leather tether pair whereas for the same price you could get only one leather leash, not to mention the beautiful absence of the loop... Meh... ^^ ~blushes

As I know, and as I have experienced it, when you accept an assignment (after it turns out if the administrator has accepted your request or offers you another item) the package gets shipped as quick as any other orders...
You have to finish both any buyout and free assignments first, and then you are able to choose a free item again...
Manufacturer sponsored assignments can cheer you as many times a month as you want it, and for Eden sponsored free items you have to wait exactly a month from the day of placing the free order until you can request one again...
Mostly there are barely any manufacturer sponsored items to choose from, so the Eden sponsored products are the way to go!

The only thing I can't stand is that everything gets listed in the layout, and not only the items with max. three reviews... That means that you have to check each friggin item out first to get to know if it has too many reviews already, preventing you from being able to enjoy it for free... I just wish sometimes that I could work on it even for free for EF, because it would definitely help countless people! ~sighs

Do you mean btw that it can take months for an assigned free toy to arrive? Well, when something is out of stock I just don't request it, as it can wait... That way whatever you order for free arrives with Godspeed!

Yeah, that's a hilariously fun part, I pretty much enjoy that W/we get all these "surprise toys" and I just can't wait to try them when they are something W/we have never encountered! ~lol ^^
