Question about upgrade request.

Contributor: Stephanie Marie Stephanie Marie
I was wondering why it seemed like its always the same people who vite on the upgrade request? Why doesn't anyone else step up and vote? There should be a limit or something on the amount of times someone can vote on upgrade requests a month. I was wondering if these people read all the reviews or do they just hit yes. Also how come its users that vote for upgrades and not admins?

Any info would be awesome.
Thanks,
Steph

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and vote for them, unless their reviews are completely terrible (in which case they probably wouldn't have been published). I do it because people gave me a chance, and I appreciate it! In fact, I think you were the first person to vote for me!

Anyway, that's not really information, it's more of an opinion.

Well I mean I do too, like to give people benefit of the doubt. I am just wondering if some users read the reviews, because some of the people who vote you don't see comments or a vote on the other users reviews. So it confuses me a little bit.

I mean I know my reviews were not the best reviews, which confuses me a bit on why I was voted yes so quickly. They still are not the very best ya know? But I am trying. I mean I will vote for people occasionally now, it all depends on their reviews.

I personally read the reviews, but I don't know about other people. My standards are pretty low because I know that my reviews aren't great. It wouldn't be fair for me to expect others to have spectacular reviews when mine aren't so great! Someone has my vote as long as they didn't write something terrible (like a condom review that says "this gum tastes like rubber").

LOL!!! Yeah I know. I mean I have no room to say anything, seeing how my reviews are.

BTW I just thought I would mention this is NOT a COMPLAINT..just in case a person comes in this topic and reads this.

"in which case they probably wouldn't have been published"

I have very recently read some awful reviews that did very little to inform me about a product.

A review does not have to be somewhat useful to be published.

I always read everything before voting. -shrug- Probably why I don't vote that often. But yes, I won't vote if their material isn't informative at all. Of course, people only get better, but if there's a trend of consistently uninformative nonsense then they're probably just fishing for free stuff. That's what I think anyway. Its not like if they don't get voted in they can't try again.

I always try to provide constructive criticism for people I don't vote for and then follow them so I can see if they improve. Maybe that's mean but whatevs~

A lot of times I never get the chance to vote even when it is someone who I would like to vote for. It seems like there are people who are waiting to vote and they put their votes in before anyone else lol. However, it also takes me longer to make a decision to vote because I have to read all of their reviews and stuff first.
