Waiting for Shipping/Approval (Verified Reviews)

I know I read it can take some time, I'm just curious if there's a ball park for how long that is?

Adriana- right now, the average hold time is a month. Assignments may take up to one month to approve, and up to another month to ship... I know it's long, we're working on cutting that time down again!

Oh, I'm patient. I was just curious! Thanks!

Just to let you know, I've been waiting about 2 months and mine is just in process to be shipped. Looking forward to it.

I'm still waiting, and it's been a month. I'm not patient, and am eager to get started. I hope that things get shipped soon.

I'm a new reviewer waiting for my first toy. It's been over 30 days (I assume this is normal) and I was just wondering how long it normally takes for a new reviewer to receive her first toy. Thanks!

I think EF is still in the hole from before when requests were sent out like bats out of hell.
I think it caught too much attention and that is why these restrictions had to be implemented.

Let me see if I can answer this with a little bit of EdenFantasys review history. As near as I can tell they started the review program in February, 2007. In the first eight months it had attracted the attention of fewer than 100 reviewers. Around that time they started new programs that included incentives for bringing in new reviewers and other things. Somehow it attracted a lot of attention and reviewers were being added at 40 per month and in some months there was in excess of 100 added. By the end of May 2008 (only 8 months from when there were less than 100 reviewers) there were almost 700 reviewers. This explosive growth required them to completely revamp the program. Now the whole process takes much longer and is more restricted.
While I really enjoyed receiving lots of free toys from Edenfantasys, there is a lot more review activity going on now and there are a lot more reviewers involved in the community, so it makes it more fun.
Hope that answers your question.

To give a time frame.... my first assignment was approved in 4 weeks. Then I was told in roughly 2 weeks it was canceled because it was accidentally assigned to two people.

My most recent request was approved in roughly 3 weeks. I just accepted it and am now crossing my fingers that this one doesn't get canceled too.

Are we still looking at 3 weeks between submission and approval/shipping? I have something I asked for and the administrator assigned it to me, so I have approved it. I'm antsy because it looks like such a wonderful toy.

My boyfriends took about 4-5. He just got it shipped today I believe.
I asked for an item, waited a week, an admin requested I choose something else, I did, and now I'm antsy awaiting to see if the second request got approved! I just need to be patient and await a message. Keep your fingers crossed...
I can't wait for a review from you.

Beautiful Dreamer- I removed your duplicate posts (it happens sometimes).

As far as waiting periods, the new set-up always assumed a wait time both for assigning and for shipping (as opposed to the way it ran before the shutdown, when things were shipped out immediately after being accepted). It is still more backed up than we'd like, for good reasons- an influx of new contributors- but we're working on getting through the current list and figuring out ways to prevent it from continuing.

Wow, I feel quite lucky now. My request for an item took about 1 day to approve and 2 days to ship. oO And my assigned item shipped in 2 days, too. Am I to assume that the *average* time is far longer? Does the item you select influence how fast your approved?

*you're.

Sorry about the double post. It's just that the whole your/you're thing is like, my least favorite typo. It'd have driven me a little crazy to just leave it.

Sigh. The huge delay in shipping time can affect review rating for those people that are not interested in spending their time actively doing "something else" on Eden Fantasys.

FYI- approval and ship time does actually vary a lot. Just cope with it.

It seems to widely vary. I love reading through reviews and sometimes I'll notice people have new verified reviews up within like 3 weeks of their last one, and I'm still waiting to see if my request got approved! I grin and bear it.

I'm curious to know how the wait times are now, a year later. Anyone want to comment?

After I request a product, it's usually approved in a day or too - sometimes longer like on the weekends or over holidays. Shipping can take another 1-3 days usually (before it's sent out, that is). There are always exceptions but it's usually a quick and painless process!

Wow, way to make some progress! From a month waiting approval to a few days. That's what I call a dedicated website and staff! Kudos EF!!
