I chose dildo since I have never owned beads, although I guess the one adam male glass balls that I have are kinda anal beads but they are too big for that. That is why I chose dildo.

First off do you mean a buttplug or something like an anal probe? It really depends what kind of sensations you want beads are supposed to be fun when you pull them out and you can feel them pass threw the sphincters.

I enjoy using both, but if I had to pick one, I would go with anal dildos. I like the thrusting I can do with a dildo over the slow popping you get from beads.

I have used beads but I don't like them. Too difficult to insert, can't do much with movement of beads once inserted and they can be a pain to clean.
For me, butt plugs and dils are just so much better.

I like beads the best, as long as they don't have any actual string connecting them. Eep. My favorites have a flexible connector made out of the same material as the beads.

I find it's easier to shop for dildos since all I need to know is the overall diameter. Plus, I find dildos easier to clean up in general.

I'd say a dildo first, since there's more control. A compromise is a "bead stick" type of toy, which is firm enough to be thrusted but has the bumps of beads.

We tried the beads & didn't get much enjoyment out of it.
Agree with everything Liz2 said, can be difficult to insert, once in no feeling, & pain to clean.
Dildo on the other hand, even if not thrusting you know it is there
