In that review that you linked to, in the very first paragraph under "Use", the reviewer states:

"but the firm silicone and texture make it feel a bit thicker than the measurements would lead you to believe, so this probably isn't the best choice for beginners."

I don't know that it would be the first toy I would use anally. However, if you got it and you find that it is a little more advanced, then you could always stash it away in the toy chest until you are ready for it.
