Beginner Plug

Contributor: cherryredhead88 cherryredhead88
I know there are lots of threads floating around, but I have not found one with quite what I am looking for. I have a couple of questions about anal play.

I can fit a finger comfortably inside, and I am able to use my Icicles #13 a lot better than before, but I still am not really "progressing" anally.

Upon looking around I have found that plugs seem to be good for helping get used to anal play? I looked at The Lil End but it still looks a bit big.

Can plugs be used to wear all day? Do you recommend I work up to wearing it for long amounts of time?

Any other tips or advice would be appreciated, I am still new to anal and have no idea where to begin.

I accidentally tried the "zero to penis" method which, I will tell you, doesn't work well. I can comfortably fit a finger inside and I was unable to fit a medium glass plug. I got the Pleasure #1 which I really like. I figure I'll progress to the Pleasure 2 once I feel I need a bigger size. It's about the size of a finger and I found it was a great starter plug. It's also silicone so it can be cleaned and boiled very easily, and it's very bendy which is more accommodating.

I'm still working on wearing my Pure Plug Large for extended periods (last time I overshot time and it HURT taking it out ). The Bootie Plug is good for extended periods, but it won't really stretch.

If you like your Icicles #13, you could try another glass probe, like the Emerald Explorer. Probes are for when you're focusing on playing, though, they won't stay in for extended periods...

I went relatively slow when progressing to larger anal toys. It took me 8 months to work from the tantus slim to the tantus mark, but I did go slow and only did anal play a few times a week. I was determined not to feel any pain, so I only went up in increments of 1/8" at a time. The toys I used in order are: Tantus slim, tantus ripple small, tantus anal beads, cheeky boy, vixen mistress, tantus ripple large, tantus ryder, and finally tantus mark.

To your other questions, yes, some people do wear plugs for an extended period of time. I don't know if it will help you progress faster, I think the majority of people do it for the sensation alone. It is a personal preference, but you should try it out in your home to see if you like it.

I would recommend the Love Pacifier Beginner. I found that it was a good size for me when I was starting out. It is also not large in regards to insertable length, so it can be left in for periods of time. Another plus is that it is pretty cheap but still made from silicone. Even though the B-bomb is not that great for leaving in for long periods of time, it is a good plug that can get you ready for something a little larger. I have a couple of glass toys, like the Emerald Explorer, that work well for easing you way into larger sizes.

How long have you been exploring anal play? Sometimes it just takes a little time for your body to get used to the sensations. Some people describe it as your brain needing time to be rewired to be sensitive to and appreciate the new pleasures.

The Lil' End seems much more beginner friendly than Icicles #13. I've been considering the Lil' End for awhile but decided on the Love Pacifier instead because the Lil' End had slippage issues
