First anal toy? Butt plug or vibrating plug?

Contributor: DreamWolf DreamWolf
Though I couldn't call myself a beginner at the experience at all but I still have to get used to it, and considering to get something to make myself get used to the feeling better, with small sizes for now...

What do you think would be best, and/or what was your first anal toy for the purpose?

non vibrating is better imo

I'm definitely no expert (I've yet to delve too much into this type of play) but from what I've read, the vibration helps to relax you. I know my boyfriend likes it for the vibration, not really for it just "being in there", if that makes sense.

Well yep, that's what I think too, though simple, nonvibrating plugs are just sooo popular as I see, that it makes me wonder how come they are used more...

That's why I opened this discussion to find it out...

I'd say go with a simple butt plug, that's what I had and still love it the most

Butt plug something small yet simple 2 start out with.

I started with a very basic butt plug that did not vibrate. I recently got a toy that vibrates and can be used anally for an assignment - and I love it!

I think I went about it the right way. Start with something very basic just to get used to that kind of stimulation, and then move up to something that vibrates. (In fact, now that I know I like vibrations back there, I plan on getting another vibrating butt toy!)

Definitely go for a smaller plug if trying for the first time. We order one that was huge (in our opinion) for the first time recently. It worked, but it took a few tries for insertion and hurt like hell the first time we tried to use it.

I would just go with the plain plug. When I started I thought adding vibration might be a bit much, but then again I'm a bit of a wimp.

Oh my... Surprising answers... How sweet I can get to know these, I was going more for a vibrating plug...

Though of course a good one can be used without vibration too... ^^

The first butt toy I ever used (besides fingers) was a vibrating inflatable butt plug my boyfriend bought. It was a little too much stimulation for a newbie so I only let him use it on me a couple times. I would go for a non vibrating plug or probe as a first toy.

Vibrating plugs are more geared towards men in my opinion.

Vibrating can help relaxation, but the big issue with them is that if they're not waterproof cleanup is much more difficult.

A number of silicone plugs come with a removable "silver bullet" type vibe. If you're going for a plug that buzzes get one of these. You can always turn it off.

It's better to get a good size, shape and material plug for you first, then worry about vibe or no vibe later. If it's got a vibe great, if not then start without one and move on for your next toy.

Yep, that's my thought on it very much nowadays, and I think I am gonna go for a "training kit", not that one couldn't get the pieces individually too, but why not to get a set of 3 different sizes, and I will get a vibrating tiny one too, just in case...

Go with something simple. I started off with the First Time Love Beads.

I'd focus more on selecting one that is appropriately sized for your comfort level. I've personally had more success with non-vibrating plugs.

Good luck and have fun!

Dont spend a lot of money until you decide if you really like anal play. You could find yourself spending a bit money on a toy you end up not using. Start out simple then move yourself up.

Learn to enjoy the feeling of a plug inside of you before you venture into vibrations.

I'd recommend a butt plug on the smaller end.

We both like the Vibrating anal-T:
link

We've tried both vibrating and non-vibrating ones and feel that the vibrations make a plug feel more pleasure, hence more desirable for a beginner.
