My husband isn't totally new to anal play, but he's more on the beginner side of things. I'm looking for a toy that I can use on him that he'll be comfortable with, but will also work in a harness for when he becomes comfortable with it. I'm having trouble deciding which one would be best. Help, please?

I haven't tried any of them personally, but the sedeux please looks like a better choice to me. It's less than an inch thick (if you guys have done much anal play at all an inch shouldn't be a problem), in stock, and if he takes it to the base the flare could come in handy for a light stretch if (or when) you guys decide to move to a larger toy!

Use your finger(s) first, with a latex glove perhaps. If you purchase a toy small enough for an absolute beginner to start with, it will be way too small for pegging him later when he's become accustomed to being penetrated.

If he's closer to being a beginner, I'd go with the small silk.

I'd rule out small Silk and Compact for being too small (especially for harness use - they'll bend and pop out). Ripple may have too much texture, especially for thrusting.
If pegging is important, I'd say play with fingers until he's comfortable with at least a 1.25" diameter toy, then get one a bit wider (for stiffness) and at least 5" insertable length (so it doesn't pop out during use)

Although the Ripple might be a good toy to get used to anal play, I don't think it'd be the best for eventual use in a harness as it is very flexible and would be difficult to control insertion.
