Hey all! So here is the issue, I am very much a fan of anal play but am consistently concerned that I will lose a plug in me. Being experienced with anal play, I select quality materials, large based toys..ectect.. but still, I look down at lovely new toys I get, and think to myself "hmm that just doesn't seem wide enough".

My question is how does one over come this little fear that prevents me from enjoying some of the best toys out there, like the Ryder, Sexy Spade ect. How wide should the flared base be to be safe to move around when inserted Thanks much!

Generally, I'd say any plug which has a wider base than the plug part is perfectly safe. Also having a right angle from a skinny stem to the wide base helps keep the base from being tugged at all. I don't know why, but I also feel safer with bases that are more elongated than circular...

The only toy I have this fear with is the tantus ryder. The base is a little skinny and flexible so that it is comfortable for extended wear, but I always think it is going to slide into me.

Good post. The Sexy Spade scares me because of the base. I saw good reviews on the Ryder but now I'm not sure after reading toyboys' post above.

The NJoy Pure Plugs are a little pricey but well worth it. link
I like to wear them longer term and there is no chance they will ever slip inside. (Unless you're a gaping porn star wannabe).

The Tristan line by Vixen has a thicker base that seems to me very secure. I never felt like it had any change of getting sucked in.

You could always attach a cord or something similar to the base when in doubt. I have one plug, The Pink Ripple, that I did that to, helped to ease my mind. As has been said, a bigger base than the largest area of the toy and a sharp angle from base to stem is what I look for.

I don't think it could go inside me as the base is 2.5" long, but the flexibility of it just messes with my mind. I love the ryder and really recommend it.

The thing to keep in mind with any plug base is that it will not be "sucked inside" without plenty of warning. I took my Ryder and put it in and then went to push the base inside. It took a while and definitely was noticeable. Keep in mind that the anal canal is about 3/4" long. Also note that I've never had a problem with the Ryder's base even starting to go inside unless I push it in with my finger.

Get the kinds of plugs with loops on the end, tie a rope/cord through the loop, and tie the other end to a bedpost or door knob.

I was thinking his & her pure plugs worn snapped together with a small bungie cord might be fun though.

All good ideas, and I appreciate the humor as well. I do ownthe tristan line, and the njoy large among others. There are just so many fun looking ones, like sexy spade, and the ryder, which I threw out for this reason. I might just have to bite the bullet and attach my toys to the car/wall/or some more realistic and less dramatic method like the rope to enjoy all that's out there. Thanks for the great responses!

Now only if I could address my fear of losing ropes inside my butt! jk
