Sometimes, an anal toy is just too thin and isn't stimulating for the user.
Other times, they are much too girthy, making them difficult or impossible to use comfortably.

Judging from the toys you have used anally, what diameter do you feel is the best combination of comfort and stimulation for you? For the purposes of this poll, assume the toy is smooth and does not vary drastically in diameter along its length, and choose that which is closest to your favourite diameter, rounding down.

I realize a similar poll has been done recently, but that one factored length into the equation as well. I am curious about diameter, since preferences vary so widely (no pun intended) in that area. I've made voting private, so if you'd like to share your own experiences, feel free to post.

Sometimes the shape can change it too i know one with a good curve makes a thin boring toy in to something great! for me

You have a good point there. Bigger is not necessarily more stimulating, and is often more uncomfortable. It seems to be another case of size not being the most important factor.

I'm really happy with about 1.75 right now. But it's gotta have some texture. Also, the bigger it is, the more I don't like vibrations.

Somewhere just under 1 1/2" is just right for me. Any bigger and it's just too darn painful, at least for now that is.

I was wondering this as well. Thanks for the topic, and votes. My Sexy Spades Large is a bit too big for us (for now...), but somewhere around 2" seems perfect. A new challenger appears...

1.5 to 1.75, ideally. I could take more easily, I believe, but those take little warm up and leave me feeling filled.

Exercising your PC muscle will keep you tight and should help with stimulation with smaller toys :]

The bigger it is, the softer the material has to be. For example, once a toy goes beyond the 1.5'' mark, it's harder to take it if the material is hard and rigid. Butt plugs are an exception, though, since they taper quickly. I really enjoy the size of dildos around 1.7'' to 1.9'', with the silicone being much softer, à la VixSkin, O2, Super Soft.

I prefer smaller toys all around but can take bigger toys anally so it's not a huge deal. Smaller toys are just more comfortable and fun for anal play.

1.25 is good for use in double penetration, and I can do up to 1.5" without a warm-up. My current max with warmup is 1.75". I voted for 1.5, I guess.
