How are these safe? I would be terrified of splinters! Isn't wood a porous material? And how do you clean it, generally wood and water don't play nice. I've never heard of or seen wooden toys til recently. Is there an particular reason why someone would want wood?

You're right, most unfinished woods are porous, but the NobEssence Company uses a special Lubrosity coating on all their wooden products, so their toys are truly waterproof, hypoallergenic, and phthalate-free. Since their wooden toys are waterproof, moisture cannot be absorbed by the wood, so there's no reason for you to worry about splinters. As for cleaning, all you need is antibacterial soap and warm water.

I have the Fling by NobEssence, I didn't particularly wanted a toy made out of wood, I bought the dildo because of its awesome design.

I have the Nob Essence Romp what a beautiful toy, I really shouldn't call it a toy, it is an instrument of pleasure. I love it if I knew it would feel this good I woukd have gotten it a long time ago. I just wish Eden would re-stock it so I can get one for a friend. She wants one for her hubby.

I have the Romp. It is easily my favorite plug. I liked it so much that we later purchased two more Nob Essence toys. They are all beautiful, premium toys.

I would not worry about splinters. and the finish they use would make the toy waterproof. I dont own any wood toys. just have not found one that had a design that we just had to have.

I'm pretty interested in these toys myself! But they have a price barrier and they're always out of stock...

Since your wife doesn't like texture much, you should get her the Fling...it's splendid!!! But like chicmichiw said, they're always out of stock.
