I think the worry is that someone will bump into you or the plug will slip out and become visible (or your clothing will shift and the base will become visible). There's always the risk that you'll get in a car crash and they'll find it at the hospital, but as long as you've remembered clean underwear they won't notice, right?

If you choose wisely the most likely problems won't happen, since the plug will be secure and the base will be tucked away between your buttocks, but I suppose there always could be something...

I have done it on numerous occasions...last time was new years eve.

I started off with the ryder in and halfway through my man surprised me when we went back to the car (in a quite place) and brought out my bronco for a bit of thrusting action. Was one of the best nights ever!

It comes in a smaller size as well for those that don't or can't take that large of a bulb. Wearing plugs in public is my niche in the sex toy universe! I purchased the Pure Plug medium in Aug 2010 specifically for this purpose. I did have quite a bit of anal toy experience over 10 years ago and now circumstances have permitted me to get back to it. My poor little medium plug has not been worn in months since I stocked up on new toys.

Before getting the stomach flu last week, I was plugged about 10 hours a day. 98% of the time I have a thin neck plug so I have no worries about anal fatigue. I almost always wear steel, glass, or a ceramic plug so I don't have to relube or even use a whole lot to begin with.

The most important thing to consider is your personal "dimentional comfort." Use a plug you know won't be too long and poke you when you sit on a hard surface. Use one with a narrow neck for comfort and a larger head diameter for retention. And the base is the most important part. The Njoy products' bases are crazy comfortable for long term wear. Glass plug bases are tricky and I can only use T-base plugs in public.

I wear plugs at work, restaurants, anywhere. And I tend to drive more defensively to avoid a wreck while steering toward every bump in the road. The right plug can stimulate when you don't expect it to, but for me it rarely gets too intense. The best thing for me is having a good tantric orgasm and nobody around knows!!!

I would use silicone. However, it's not for me. ScottA is the expert there and he seems to have the experience to back it up.

I wear this rather huge one out from time to time to stay dilated for play when going to "friends" house, and sometimes just for the hell of it. Main problem I have is that the base is too damned wide and starts causing discomfort as it digs into the buttocks on either side of the anus. I'm sure someone probably makes a plug that is large enough and is built better, but I have yet to find it.

You could try an Njoy product. The narrow handle is very comfortable for long term wear.

I did once with my new plug in. I enjoy all day long.
