I have the Sugar dildo and i like it very much. I'm using it only vaginally. I know this toy can be boiled to sterilize, should I do that every time I use this silicone dildo? Reply

I think 'tis up to you. Soap and water really are probably fine. But if you are particularly concerned, boil away :) Reply

It's not necessary to do it every single time, no. I'd say a good scrub with liquid antibacterial soap and warm water, and boiling it maybe every fifth time or so will give you a toy that'll last for years! Remember the water should be at a rolling boil (the bubbles keep the silicone from laying on the very hot bottom of the pot) and you really only need maybe 3 or 4 minutes in the boiling water before it's ok. To *clean* the toy, soap and water is just dandy.

To *sterilize* the toy, you can do three things. a) Boil it in a pot for 3 minutes, b) put it in the dishwasher (top shelf, no soap), or c) wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution.

You only need to sterilize it everyone once in a while, OR if you're sharing it with new people, OR if you or your partner has any type of genital infection (yeast, URI, etc).

Hope that helps! Reply
