I dropped mine onto the vent on the floor and was actually really surprised that nothing damaging happened to it.

I have broken one glass toy by dropping it from about 3' onto a ceramic floor. This particular toy had a handle make like a heart - it was that small weaker area that broke - but it didn't shatter. It was more like a serious crack with a small chip that was easy to find and dispose of.

We love our glass toys and have no fear they will break during normal use.
