Now that I know that jelly toys aren't easy to clean I'm trying to get rid of them from my collection and only buy glass and silicone now.

I had one jelly toy that caused a slight burning sensation after I used it. Now I only go for silicone, metal and glass. It wasn't a hard transition for me because I don't like the feel or smell of jelly toys anyway.

When I first started looking into sex toys I found a website on the bad things about jelly toys...the only pro I managed to find was their price. Other than that it was downhill. I found Eden and bought my first toy. I didn't know anything about silicone and whatnot and I heard that Eden sold VERY little jelly toys and mostly high end silicone toys. I bought my first silicone toy (the Vixskin mustang) because I wanted something other than a bullet vibe and I love it. I like the ability to be able to REALLY clean a toy and not have to be exposed to the chemicals that are in jelly.

As a student who has taken tons of chemistry, the stuff in jelly toys is deadly for cells and the no nos in general. If I ever owned one I would use a condom but I would never have anyone I know pay for one of those.

I used one jelly toy a few times, and I never got an infection but it made me itch. I threw it out when it started to foam when I used it. My toys should not foam!

I now stick to glass, silicone, and occasionally plastic.
