One of the toys in my main rotation is a glass double-ended toy. It is about ten inches long- one end has a butt plug and the other end is a textured dildo.

I dropped it last night, it hit the dresser at the wrong angle and broke into three pieces- the butt plug, about a 1" section, and then about six inches of the dildo part. There were no glass shards, and the remaining glass appears to be in good shape- no little internal cracks are visible.

I really like this toy and it has been discontinued. Is there any way for me to repair at least the dildo end? Is there a tool that will effectively sand the glass without making it shatter? Or is there some kind of coating I can put on the end to cover up the rough (but not jagged) part where it broke? Could a glass shop fix it for me?

If this is a lost cause, can anybody recommend a heavily textured glass dildo?

oh my gosh, i would die if my icy broke. it is great to know that the glass did as it was deisgned to and not shatter into little bits. i don't know if it can be repaird. sanding glass is nothing i have ever heard of before. Maybe if you call a glass shop. also another idea is to ck with a local head shop and ask for the number of there glass pipe blower. lots of times a local person will be providing there glass pipes. maybe some one who blows glass can help.

I'd check in with a glass shop. Even if they couldn't repair it, perhaps a professional glassblower could replicate it for you. Might be pricy, though.

What a nightmare! I'm curious too, can glass toys be repaired? As embarrassing as it would be I might be willing to take it to a glass shop. I couldn't think of any fixing methods other than glue, though, and that's not very safe.

Thanks for all the sympathy.

I'm looking for a replacement, but have kept all the pieces in a plastic bag in case there is a good way to repair it. I'll let everybody know if I do find an answer...

If the dildo is pretty long, I would probably try some cockamamie "put a bunch of batting (pillow stuffing from Ben Franklin) around the end and wrap it in fabric and cinch it down real tight with a hose clamp' repair so I could have a "handle" on the dildo.... but since I can't see it I don't know if that would work or not

What kind of texture did it have?

I think I'd definitely take it to a glass shop or pipe maker or someone else who works on glass if I loved it that much.

I can't find a similar dildo on EF. If you google trinity dual wand, you'll find something that is kind of similar, but without the texture. I believe mine was trinity brand (it is really old so not 100% sure) and they don't seem to make it anymore--I can't find anything exactly similar online. It had a prominent swirl pattern and also some nubs.

I love nubs.

Ooh- good news. I found out that the Trinity glass toys are branded as Prisms Exotics now apparently. It still looks like they don't make the toy I liked anymore, BUT... They have a similar toy (sans butt plug, which I only used as a handle anyway) with very similar nubs and swirls... The head has a slightly different shape but it is only $30. I will be buying one ASAP.

I wish EF would carry these. There are some nice pieces in the line.

sounds like a lost cause :/ you could get someone to replicate it for you if you're not embarrassed to ask and you have a lot of dough to spend
