Has a review ever made you buy a toy?

Yes I'm guilty of this.

I tend to be interested in a toy, so I'll read the reviews. It's honestly the reviews that make me either buy it or pass it up. I'm so thankful we have them, especially on the more expensive toys! It keeps me from buying something and regretting it later.

If I'm on the fence about a toy, often the reviews will tip me one way or the other. I've never had a review convince me to buy a toy that I wasn't already interested in.

Reviews greatly effect many of my decisions. I don't think I'd have ever thought about the Alia, the Spur or the Bent Graduate without getting in-depth information via reviews! Nowadays I often look at the most helpful positive and negative reviews of any toy I'm thinking about, just to help me get an idea of what I'm in for.

Many times:

I would never have bought something as odd looking as the Pure Wand without reading the awesome reviews.

Likewise I assumed the Eleven was just way too large - but again the reviews were so positive, I had to give it a try.

Add glass toys to the list & VixSkin dildos

The reviews are the best sales tool @ EF

Yes. There have been a few toys that I wasn't overly impressed with until I read the reviews. A great review can get me to try a toy.

When i started i bought several toys based on good review. Now review help steer me away from toys that seems promising but clearly fell short.

I agree with PiratePrincess; there have been reviews that have sold me even when I was sure I was not going to get that toy.

This is the same reason why I don't purchase toys, good and bad reviews make a product.

I am generally interested in a toy before I read reviews on it. Then reviews help me decide between 2 or 3 that I have narrowed down on my search.

Nah. The reviews guide me, always, but I don't usually look at any toys that aren't somehow appealing to me right away.

Yep, reviews help me decide if i want to try the toy or not.

I have made decisions based on reviews if I had a few things to compare I have gone with the one that has the best ratings.

I essentially buy my toys "solely because of reviews". I look at reviews when choosing an item to buy so I can find out if it's really good or not. Product descriptions don't really tell the whole story, especially if it's actually a crappy product.

Sort of, actually. The mahogany handled flogger was something I was seriously skeptical about because of the price, but the reviews changed my mind. The reviews and the price were what did it for me. :3

I never buy a toy without checking the ratings and reading the reviews. The only tough part is deciding what reviews to go on because everyone is different! One couples mind blowing orgasm is another couples wasted money.

Reviews alone have never driven my intrinsic interest in a toy, but they have helped me choose among toys I was already considering.

Reviews can influence my decision to buy or not to buy a product, but seldom are reviews the only factors I consider.

Often times a review is what pushes me over the fence from thinking about buying something to actually making the leap. If it's something I think I will like and there are a couple of good reviews that back up my intuition I will absolutely jump in and get it. On the other hand there have been some reviews that totally turned me off to a product (which is probably a good thing too).

Many toys I've bought just because of a good review. For some reason I only remember the ones that didn't work out, like the Eroscillator and Dai-Do #3.

Not every time, but yes, I've bought toys soley because of the review. In fact, I just made a small purchase where all the items are products I've never used before. Thanks to my Edenpoints, it was all free, including the shipping and handling! If I'm going to try something new, it might as well be free; right? I'm eager to see if I'll like them. It's exciting to branch off into new directions and try things I would have never considered before!

I doubt I would ever have bought the Pure Wand if it had not been for its stellar reviews. It would have been way too expensive and intimidating. But the reviews were definitely right, and it is so worth the money.

Reviews are very important for me. I tend to read through most before ordering.

Definitely! Reviews are indispensable. I've bought toys based on great reviews, I've been turned away from others by helpful, honest reviews and reviews have even put toys on my radar that I wouldn't normally have considered. It's great to be a consumer and have all this information at your fingertips.
