L-shaped Double Dildos: Feeldoe, Nexus, Share, Tango. Which one is the best and why?

Contributor: Jimbo Jones Jimbo Jones 04/24/2009

This might almost be too many products to consider, because with the variations in size there are as many as 10 available, and I'm sure the final answer will be it depends on what you want to use it for, but let's consider the options any way.

I think that most of these were designed with use by two female bodied persons in mind. I have no experience here (since I am male) so I'll count on others to weigh in on this item. Do you find any or all of them easy to use and keep inside with or without a harness? Have you tried to hold it anally instead in order to provide more control or support?

The Feeldoe Slim is fine for girl to girl. But again I need a harness. I have also been on the receiving end of the Tango from my g/f awesome. As the receiver, I don't think I noticed that much difference in the heat of the moment but the Tango does have more girth which feels good. Tango is great for solo play.

I love the Feeldoe violet and the share. The feeldoe is more firm, but the wearer has a smaller insertable portion. The share is less firm but has a large insertable portion. For me the Share works better without a harness.

So this topic is really old, but I'll add my two cents anyway.
My girlfriend and I use the feeldoe slim and the share xl.
They are pretty much on opposite ends of the size spectrum, and the feeldoe gets more use because of that. It's just more practical. We use them without harnesses and don't really have much trouble keeping them where they belong - but we're not doing anything terribly acrobatic, either I find the feeldoe easier to keep in, the bulb is just a bit too big (for me) on the share xl.

Many "pegging" lovers have hi-jacked these double ended dildos for our own use. Here is where my experience lies. How do you feel they do in your situation? Do they stay inside that vagina with or without the harness? Any extra stimulation for the "giver"?

Since this is the main reason that I originally bought the Feeldoe Slim, I will say that my partner was able to hold it in without a harness but couldn't do a lot of movement (thrusting) while keeping it well seated insider her. A harness definitely helped with this problem.
She seems to be able to hang on to the Share a little better, but we are still in the experimentation stage with that one, so I will have to provide some updates as we collect more data.

I had a terrible time with the Feeldoe Slim when using it for pegging (or at least *trying* to); I found the receiving end to be too short and the overall girth to be too slim...I should have known better but wanted to buy a modest toy for our first foray. Knowing now what we need, I would go with Share XL or Tango.

I have the Feeldoe Slim, the Tango and have used the Share for pegging. None have really worked for me w/o a harness as they come out just when I am going to climax. With a harness, no problem.
Feeldoe Slim has been a disappointment when I used it with my b/f, the angle is off and the penile end is just too rigid. Works great for girl with girl. Has an ok vibe.
Share works but is too floppy, needing a hand and it doesn't have a vibe. Feels better then the Feeldoe to me the giver.
Tango is my favorite, awesome for pegging as well as vaginal, girl with girl. Great angle, also has some give (just like the real thing) and the saddle just fits and feels so good and has a vibe on the side.
Overall the Tango just delivers more to me the giver.
All are decent for solo play.

There's pretty much no hope for using the Nexus series without some sort of a holder, there just isn't enough to grab on. The Tango kind of works, but it's better in a harness. During sex of any sort it tends to be better if you can loose yourself in it instead of having to worry about keeping a particular muscle clenched or to do this and not that. You can do warm-up/foreplay without the harness, though, which can be kind of neat. Especially if you have a dildo similar to the Tango or Share that can be bent away from the clit for some direct oral action.

As a guy I like the vibrating dildos, as they give the woman an extra kick. It's nice to know that she's having a great time, and if the buzz works its way down the shaft to my end as well I'm certainly not going to complain.

The Feeldoe definitely works for pegging, but we found that it worked much better to use a harness with it just to keep things in place so we didn't have to stop every few minutes to readjust. It's the only one I tried so it's the only one I can comment on, but the design of both the Share and Tango seems to be more easily "held in," though I think we'd probably still be hesitant about going at it without the harness.

Realdoe is the best for both of us today. As (probably) all double dildos it does work better with harness, but you can manage without the one as well.

Share XL was my earlier favourite, but my wife found it's "bulb" not very convenient for longtime usage, and Share XL requires more pre-warming and foreplay before insertion.

Okay guys, have you inserted the bulb end anally so that you could use both the dildo and your own penis to penetrate your partner in both holes? How was it for her? How was it for you? What about control with/without a harness?

I have really only done this once with the Feeldoe Slim and I have to say it was pretty exciting for me, but my partner was not as thrilled with the whole thing (she's not that much into anal play). I have yet to try this out with the Share, and I am considering trying to use them both on her vaginally as well to see what impact that has on the situation. More results to come later.

My b/f tried the Feeldoe and the Tango for DP, with me holding it anally...honestly, it didn't work out. For DP, I use a butt plug, NJoy Pure plug, Jolly Jack or whatever...works for me.

While I haven't tried DP in real life, we've done some "dry runs" during dildo reviews.

You would need a long dildo for this to work, and it really needs a defined bulb at one end. The Nexus Maximus doesn't stay in, and I'm not sure how a harness could be adapted to keep it in. The Tango stays in OK, but you'd probably have less than 3" of usable length once you factor in the distance between your anus to the front of your legs and the dead space between your front and wherever the dildo is going to be put. In theory it works, but maybe not so well in practice.

Pity, because what Liz2 brings up sounds really neat - I'd never thought of doing it that way, with her holding the pony anally and pegging me while we have PIV sex.

Correction: He held the toys anally.....didn't work. Trying to compare here is confusing....other then the toys themselves, positions are important for success.

Length overall and right position is important. I think it can be enjoyable, but not for all. Depends very much on anatomy.

Might be a misnomer, but by "bulb" I mean the end that the giver holds one to. In your experience is it too big, too small, too hard to hold vaginally or anally? Can it be done without a harness?

I'll have to say that I think the bulb size and shape of the Share might be easier to hold on to because it is bigger than the feeldoe, but it also makes it more difficult to insert anally, so if I want to use it for that, the feeldoe might be better. The bulb ends can both be held anally without a harness though. That sphincter is STRONG. ;')

I can hold the bulb of the Feeldoe, Share and Tango. I have decent PC muscles but they let go just prior to or at my climax so I use a harness.
The bulb and the saddle jusr "feel better" from the Tango.
I have not tried any of the doubles anally for actual partner play. My b/f has...just hasn't worked that way for us.

I know the whole thing is a dildo, but let's focus on the receiving end for a minute. Is the dildo too big, too small, needs a curve, good for vaginal but not anal etc.? Any with extra textures or a defined head?

Here's where the biggest variation comes in with the Nexus Jr. starting out at 5.5" insertable and going all the way up to the Feeldoe More at 7.5". Most of them are in the 6"-7" range including both of the ones we have. I think the "it's not the size of the boat..." adage might apply, but the extra length might be nice for the DP users. What about girth, though? I'll have to say that the extra girth of the Share dildo takes more warm up for me to take anally than the Feeldoe Slim.

As I mention in my post about pegging, I think the Feeldoe Slim is too slim and too short. It may work really well for smaller bodied people but was not a good fit for us.

For me, taking dildos anally I find that the 6"-7" range is perfect, I wouldn't be too interested in a longer toy. The Feeldoe (I've got one of the original slim models before they had other options) is a little on the slim side, but still enjoyable.

This might be moot because you can see how they compare price wise, but is there one that is worth the extra cost because the size is better or maybe the cheapest one is the best. Your opinions?

So the Nexus Jr. is the cheapest at around $80, but the Sr. is just a few dollars more, and the Tango is just a few dollars beyond that. If the Tango is more functional does that make it the best bang-for-your-buck? You have to top $100 to get any of the others with the Share being the most expensive at $120. The Share XL is $14 less than the Share, so maybe that is the better deal. Is it worth crossing over the $100 barrier or is the Tango all you need? I should add that you might be able to find some of these elsewhere for less, so maybe that should be taken into consideration.

I paid around $100 for my Feeldoe Slim over a tear ago. Right now, considering the vibe, I think the Tango has more bang for the buck.

The Tango probably wins out here. It's a great dildo at a very good price, and it vibrates.

I got my Feeldoe for $45 (there was a special sale deal at a going out of business lesbian run toy store), so I'd say that was well worth it, the Tango looks like an excellent deal, but I don't think the Share is particularly overpriced. These are all high-quality toys.

My boyfriend have and love the Feeldoe Violet and hope to one day have one of each of them. Also, if you'd like, head on over to feeldoe.com and look at their Feelbuck, it's a lovely acrylic version of the Feeldoe that comes in a VARIETY of colors, but only one size. There was also talk of a natural-colored Feeldoe coming out too, but I'm not sure how well that's going just yet...

From the list above - Share XL (black).
But Realdoe is on top of my personal list.

Realdoe sounds interesting, but I hope that they redo the giver's end as well as changing the silicone. Feeldoes (especially big ones) require too much strength to keep in for many people.

I also like the "cradling" of the saddle in the Share more. More contact, more stimulation.
