I am looking for a great beginners toy. I can't what I do and do not like because I haven't tried anything but I can what I think I would like.
Realistic shape matters but not color. I don't like the look of dildos with balls. It will be solo play. I am not a size queen but willing to push the limits. Material safety is very important to me.

Any suggestions? Price is no matter for me, I like to buy quality toys.

Go with Uma from Je Joue. You will not be disappointed. She is water proof, rechargeable. I wish I would have found her earlier on and not wasted money on others!! She is rumbly and super quiet. And she is super soft velvety silicone.

I could suggest glass, I suppose, least, that's my favorite. You can figure out if you like texture, smooth, temperature play, and firmness liking to one toy: Amethyst. I am parroting what many other people have said about this.

If you're looking for a dildo, I can't really be of help. But if you are looking at toys in general, I'd recommend the Hitachi Wand. It's absolultely fantastic!
