It wasn't at all hard to get into the cutouts for cleaning. I cleaned it up immediately after use (which probably made it easier) and soap and running water was able to do the job very well. The only thing I wasn't crazy about is that you can't towel dry those crevices. I really wanted to pack things up quickly so I got around that by using my hair dryer on it for a minute or so.
The insertion went fine, but I think that's more a reflection of a **lot** of foreplay and lubricant than the design. I'm not sure if the 'fine' and not 'great' was because of the width or the bluntness. We've gone as wide as the Tantus Silk Medium in earlier anal play and the Sysil is slightly bigger - not a big difference in terms of width, but when you combine that with the bluntness and the slight ridges on the shaft, it is noticeable.
