No storage pouch!

I just got a bent graduate for my girlfriend who encouraged me to get this one over the SSA glass Amethyst because of the padded storage pouch it came with.

But when I got my package in the mail... no storage pouch!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Hmm. Mine came with a pouch. Maybe submit a support ticket?

Apparently the manufacturer isn't giving out the pouch anymore, from what I've heard. Which sucks, because the pouch is pretty nice (I got mine close to a year ago).

Still, submit a support ticket, just to be sure.

I submitted a support ticket and also contacted don wands. Don wands just got back to me and said that they are no longer selling them with the pouch but that you can buy the padded pouch separately for 8$

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that! I wonder why the change... maybe it was too expensive for them. Those are some damn fine pouches, I'll tell you that!

I wonder if their other glass toys now come without a pouch too?

Nice to know that you can still get the pouches, but it's lame that they aren't included automatically anymore. Though I'm of the opinion that all glass toys should come with a good pouch.

You're better off buying the pouch separately and buying a better toy to put in it anyways.

I had called and asked and they said pretty much what everyone else here has said.

Here is the email I got from Bo (from Don Wands) on April 10:

Thank you for your purchase of a wand from our collection. Yes now the wands do not come with a pouch. They use to but not anymore due to raising costs. You can purchase them separate from the same place you purchased your wand or from us. Wand pouches are $12.00 and there will be a shipping fee of $9.99. If you do want one please let me know and I get that out to you within 4 business days. Also if you have any other questions please let me know.

Thanks
Bo

I don't see them for sale on EF at this time, but maybe eventually? You can buy them directly from Don Wands, according to Bo's email.

I'm glad I got the Amethyst. It comes with a pouch (albeit not padded) and has a better colour selection.

That stinks about no pouch. I have the amethyst and like that it came with a pouch even though it's not padded.

Most of the reason I wanted the bent graduate was the padded pouch. I won't be purchasing it now.

Mine did not come with a pouch either, I'm just keeping it in the box for now. For me it is still a great toy to own, even if you have to purchase alternate storage options

Is the pouch really that important? I don't find a need for one :/

The pouches that tend to come with the glass toys don't often do a whole lot in terms of protecting them, as they're usually very thin. That said, I do like to store my glass items in padded pouches, to prevent any damage from occurring.

Every company is tapering down on quality. Where are the extra little touches that made buying beautiful glass toys a joy? I have only bought 1 glass toy that came with a beautiful and fully padded pouch. It thrilled me. Since then, only thin crappy pouches or plastic packaging. Ugh! When I read above that they want $12.00 and an extra $10.00 for shipping it turned my stomach.
