Silicone Dildo question

YES, I have read the reviews but I'd still like to hear more about this.

What is the difference between the O2 line, the Vixskin line and Happy Valley?

The current dildos that I own are Tantus Goliath, Sedeux Flare (I think - it came with our harness) and a Pipedream Fetish Fantasy one. Oh - and T-Rex which is too big for me.

I think the O2 Revolution is on its way to me (I hope) - as a gift but I would like to find a couple of others to add to our collection.

We haven't yet used Goliath because he came today - but I LOVE the veins on him and think I'll enjoy that because I like texture in my vibrators.

But I'm trying to understand what makes each company unique as they each have one or more that I want to try and I pretty much only have the points for two at most.

I'm not sure if you're asking for the difference between the dual-density dildos or between dual-density and regular, so I'll try to answer both.

The dual-density dildos have a very soft, plush outer layer with a firmer density core. The head itself is typically made entirely of the softer silicone. The combination has the effect of closely simulating the feel of a real penis. The soft outer layer also means they feel slightly smaller than a regular silicone dildo of the same size. Of the three you mention, Vixskin is the only one with special storage instructions.

I think the differences are pretty minor for each of the dual density dildo companies. I assume you've seen it, but Antipova does a nice video explaining some of the differences.

My impressions:

O2 overall is the firmest, or at least has the firmest core. Subjectively, they also have the least drag of the three. Least realistic in appearance. We own the Flurry and Adam. The O2 in general tend to be fairly large sized dildos.

Vixskin is probably the softest of the three to me and has the most drag, although I'm not sure if it's because of the realistic veining. By far the most realistic looking. There is a wide range of Vixskin dildos in terms of size ranging from small to 'oh mah gawd.' We currently only own Goodfella but that's because we are so happy with it. I'm sure I will eventually buy more.

Lucky by Happy Valley is in the middle for me in terms of softness/firmness and drag. It is also in the middle in terms of realism. I think it's the only one offered on EF and it's fairly large in size.

Feel free to message me if you have a specific question. And honestly, you won't go wrong with any of them.

This is exactly the type of information that I was looking for.

I'm so confused on what to try. As I said, hopefully, the O2 Revolution is on its way to me. For those who don't know - when you reach 100 reviews, Eden gifts you with a ONE item of your choice up to $150. You give them a list of your choices and it goes from there. The Revolution was my first choice.

Last night we used the Tantus Goliath and I am shocked (although I shouldn't be I guess) at how a dildo feels compared to a vibrator. I can take 1 3/4" vibrator with almost no problem at all - maybe have to work up to it a little bit if its been a bit since our last playtime.

But a dildo? WOW. Very firm - I didn't realize just how "hard" they could be.

Anyway - I'm toying between getting a Vixskin or perhaps a smaller O2 that is non-realistic or one of the Happy Valley toys. I love their silver color and they look so neat.

I think the hard part is that there is one from each line that interests me and I can only afford two right now. I keep leaning towards the Happy Valley Big Boy though so maybe that is one of the two I should get.

I keep wanting Vixskin because people rave about how good it is - but the last two times I went with the crowd on toys - I wound up disappointed. So I'm really trying to slow myself down and find things that will work with my body.

I don't own the Goliath but taking a quick look at the reviews it seems that the silicone is pretty firm, so I wouldn't necessarily judge your experience as typical. The silicone for my Tantus Acute and Curve appear to be much softer.

In terms of which to try first, unfortunately no one can predict exactly how well you will like any. I would base it first on size, appearance, and features. Each functions pretty similarly with only minor differences.

I think I only have one Happy Valley dildo (Deep Secret) and the silicone isn't that firm to me. And at 1-1/2", the Big Boy shouldn't be too big, but it's also not a dual density.

Yes, I think it is much better. It feels much more lifelike. I have 2 of the 02s, but none of the other lines of dual density so I can't compare those for you. I still think you should try the 02 Flurry. It is a little too big for me, but I still love it!!!

Well, it's a personal preference thing, really. Dual-density silicone is really popular, but there are people who don't like it.

Personally, I love it. I just think dual-density toys feel really neat. They're so super soft on the outside, yet the inner core is firm enough to help them maintain their shape. My favorite toy is a dual-density dildo that would simply be too large for me if it was firm all the way though, but if it was completely soft I don't think it would hit all the money spots as perfectly as it does now.

Like others have said... it depends. (Not very helpful, right? lol) I have both the Goodfella and the Mustang (both VixSkin toys). I also have the Tantus Boss (same as VIP) which is not dual density, but rather VERY solid, firm Tantus silicone.

The differences as far as use - the Boss feels much bigger since it has no squish. It also gives more direct, firm g-spot stimulation. The VixSkin toys give less firm, less direct g-spot stimulation. I use both for thrusting, but because the VixSkin is less firm, and the stimulation less intense, it takes me longer to reach orgasm than with the very firm, direct stimulation of the Boss. That means my arm may be more likely to get tired when using the VixSkin, but it also means my orgasm is often a bit more intense/longer.

Another difference in use is that I can keep playing longer with the VixSkin toys, over the solid Boss because they are less likely to make me sore. I can keep going and have several orgasms with the VixSkin, where I have to be more careful with the Boss because it seems to be a bit harder on my body. The VixSkin is, first and foremost, comfortable. I could use it for hours everyday and not get sore.

That doesn't mean that the VixSkin is necessarily the better toy, or even my preferred toy. It depends on exactly what I want that particular time. The Boss is still one of my absolute favorite g-spot dildos, I just have to know what I'm looking for out of the experience, and I have to use each toy a little differently.

Aha...that really helped me understand better. I feel like now I'm getting it. I think that using Goliath last night helped - since my only experience was with a Sedeux and the pipedream one. The Tantus was definitely a different experience.

Now to decide!

I'm not sure then if I'd like the Vixskin. I will talk to my husband and get his input since we use it for couple play and he knows my body better than I do!

I received both the O2 Cush and the Happy Valley Big Boy today (still waiting to see what my gift will be for hitting 100 reviews) - and I must say that I finally get it about what the O2 is like.

I have mixed feelings about it - only tried it once so far (and I'm getting the O2 Flurry to review next week).

Now to think about whether or not to get a Vixskin - and which one!

Something I also forgot to mention is that to me, the O2 for the most part tend to be straighter dildos (Adam being an exception). The Vixskin one's offer more variety not only in size (length/girth) but also with curvature. So if a g-spot curve is important, that's something else to consider.

Hi there! I don't have the dual density toys to be able to make a comparison, but I found Antipova's video comparison helpful, and just wanted to share!

NOW you tell me????

Just kidding.

I'm totally in love with my Happy Valley Big Boy. I can't believe how much I love it.

I have to say that I'm not overly fond of the O2 stuff...now that I have the flurry on the way for a video review and possibly the Revolution on the way too.

I also have Deep Secret on the way from Happy Valley. At least I hope it is on the way - it was in stock when I placed my order and now says "out of stock" but it hasn't been shipped yet as I ordered it Saturday morning.

So we'll see.

Thanks. I knew I'd see something about that somewhere but couldn't remember where.
