I am waiting for the Vixskin Mustang to come back in stock. The other day I got an email saying it was in stock, but when I went to look it still says it's out of stock. Was the email sent in error and it was never back in stock to begin with?

Has this happened to anyone else with other toys before?

It's possible that it came back in stock and sold out very quickly. I've had this happen with very popular items. Nobessence toys come to mind. You can always contact customer support or submit a support ticket to find out when it will be back in stock.

You can always send a Customer Service ticket and get specific answers to your questions.
