I've never used a realistic toy, but I can see the appeal. Maybe I'll try some in the future, but for now I like my toys brightly colored and whimsical.

Wife doesnt care. I like the realism of the realistic, as the more beliveable they look the more jealous/turned on I get!

I really like the Vixskin line but I wish they made more realistic looking ones smaller than most of the line. I like the Spur's size but it doesn't look realistic enough for me.

I am trying to get more into them because of the realistic feel, but too realistic a look creeps me out a bit. I am stalking the neon vixskin toys for this reason.

For me it's about the overall look and feel of a toy. I think some of the realistic toys capture the look perfectly and it just looks appealing to me, but sometimes I'll see a toy with a striking design or made of a nice material (glass, stainless steel) that makes it just as appealing, even though it's not "realistic" looking in person.
