Depends on who's getting the gift for me. Sometimes I'll give a gift card to a place I know they will go and other times I'll just drop cold hard cash.

Money, then I can spend it wherever I want, and buy whatever I want! Or do my favorite thing to do, and put it in my savings account for my kids! Cash gifts are the best in my opinion.
