What would you rather receive...

flowers are nice, but to me they are sort of pointless. I would much rather have chocolate any day.

Both are nice, but there's just something about flowers. My husband hasn't given me any in a long time and I know that if he came home with a bouquet I would be extremely happy.

I love chocolate, but when I eat too much I feel like a pig.
Getting flowers can't make me feel bad about my self-image when I'm done with them.
I'd prefer flowers even though I love chocolate as much as I do.

I'd call it a toss up.

Chocolates. If your giftee isn't a choco-fan then s/he can share them. You can learn what s/he likes and improve on later gifts. Chocolates last longer than cut flowers.

Though I am a huge proponent of guys getting flowers, and I don't think it's done enough, I would personally prefer the chocolate.

It depends. If it's just a gift, give me chocolates. Good ones, because I am the type who would prefer three fine chocolates over a gigantic box of mediocre ones.

If the person knows the language of flowers and is trying to send a message, give me flowers. I'd have fun with the ones I know on sight, and the ones I have to look up, and trying to combine it all together. Otherwise, no to flowers.

I would rather chocolate. I don't go through chocolate very quickly, but it would make a nice gift.

I would pick flowers because they can be dried and saved. If someone takes the time to give me flowers I want one to save and look back on. Don't get me wrong I LOVE chocolate but it would be gone in one day for me.

I wouldn't really like either -- they're both a waste of money! If I had to pick one, I'd pick flowers.

Neither. Its so cliche and I personally do not like chocolate and most often times the flowers in question are roses and I don't like those either.

Flowers all the way. I'd rather receive a beautiful dozen flowers than some chocolates I'd probably not like.

Flowers are soooooooooooo extremely romantic that they make me melt and tremble, but I rather say chocolate, because I LOVE chocolates in (almost) every form, and that way less poor lil flowers will be picked!

Though my Master surprises me with flowers from time to time what He plucks Himself, and my, if you haven't tried it you won't believe it how wonderful it is to have your love just flash a big bouquet of wild flowers up for you, saying he was picking some only for you!!! Oh my, I would jump out of my skin because of the happiness every single time!!!!!!!!!

(Not to mention, that way you can be sure even more that the person who plucks em does it with more respect towards them hopefully, I even speak to plants and my Master too (I do it aloud, He just thinks of it, it's enough too, they feel it! ~grins), because they are souls as much as we, humans are, so if you say thank you, sorry, would you mind, such things, then you can be sure the plants won't feel so bad about being hurt a lil bit in such a way... Carlos Castaneda writes about it too, though he says that if you don't speak to them while you collect herbs then they'll have their revenge on you, make you sick, and stuff like that, I just think that plants feel your intentions and how you feel about them, and if you think of them as equal creatures then they like you more than they like the other people, and won't sulk when you pluck or cut or trim them... ^^)

Get her a Phalaenopsis Orchid I think it's much more striking appearance, less costly than a dozen cut flowers and will last longer too. They're sold in many major grocery stores as well as Sam's Club and Walmart.
