I would would go for it, but definitely with caution.

Personally, I really wouldn't do it, but if it floats someone else's boat, I have no complaints. I am just very OCD when it comes to my body and I don't want to fathom the thought of putting something inside me that someone else owned/used before in such a manner.

Yeah, I know that a lot of toys can be shared, etc., due to the materials, but it just isn't for little ol' me.

If I knew the previous owner and it was a material that was easy to sterilize, I probably would use it.

I wouldn't just because I don't buy used electronics. If I don't buy used ipods or computers, I'm certainly not going to buy a used vibrator.

My doctor uses a brand new plastic one every time. Definitely makes me feel more at ease.

No, probably not. Just the idea of having a certain toy used by a stranger just doesn't appeal to me.

Personally, I couldn't get myself to do it.

I don't sit and imagine what someone else does with their toys so if the material is high enough quality that it can be cleaned fully I have no problem using a second hand toy.

If it were silicone or glass probably, but I'd sterilize it a time or two first. I'm not above a bargin on a secondhand toy.

Even though I know many materials can be completely sterilized, I don't want the mental images. If it was someone I was sleeping with, then sure, but some stranger on the Internet? No, thank you.

If the toys were a material that could be properly sanitized (silicon or similar) then it would be fine.

The only way I could is if I knew the previous owner and the toy was made from pure silicone or glass. Otherwise, no.

Depends on the toy. If it's one that can be 100% sanitized, I don't see why not.

^ THIS. Thank you.

People, I know everyone is entitled to do what they want in accordance to their own personal sense of safety level. Cool. But where is the sense disgust coming from?

Surely some of you have had sex without condoms with the people you felt safest with. And those people probably did the same with others. That person has been smooshing parts with other people. So have you. You can't boil genitals!!

So what's with this "my toys MUST remain chaste until they are mine" line of thought?

At least with something like glass you can boil that thing. You can put heavy-duty disinfectant on it too, if it puts you more at ease (I'd wash it off after a good soak in that, though; I'm not advocating chemical burns here).

Personally, I'm not sure that I'd buy a second-hand toy. But I'm certainly not disgusted with the thought.

If it was just a dildo with no motor... maybe. I would want to be able to boil it. A vibrator prob not.
