I have never understood schoolgirl fetishes and just can't see them as sexy. I'm not attracted to people or costumes that are juvenile looking. I feel like I'm the only one! I'd rather go out and buy the pieces separate for that particular costume. All the ones I've ever seen to buy have never struck my fancy. Tho I prefer just dressing up in corset and stockings, they make me feel pretty

i dont tend to care for that fetish, as i feel like medias outlook of it has given some rise to the sexualisation of children's bodies - i know thats not part of it but what i get from it being all over places now and even as halloween costumes for little girls. there is a little bit of a creep aspect to it, if only from what i stated before, although i dont think being into it inherently makes one a creep. I mean i enjoy dressing it, i just dont happen to enjoy the school girl look outside of anime conventions, to me it's not sexy.

I've got a pleated plaid skirt short skirt that sort of gives off that school girl vibe but I don't have any school girl outfits really. I think my guy has more of a thing for the cheerleader type outfit. Either way, that sort of thing is not my personal taste at all. I like garters and old school 50's style, or babydolls. I'm proud that I'm no longer a teenager and more classy outfits and stockings are what make me feel sexy.

Everyone is entitled to their own kinks and opinions, but the social psychologist feminist in me can't help but feel the glorifying of young girls/barely legal is our patriarchal society's way of keeping females subservient. By glamorizing youth it keeps women self-conscious and occupied with trying to stay young and attractive, instead of being the powerful, intelligent queens that they should be in our society.

It doesn't especially bother me if someone else is into schoolgirl costumes. That said, I don't know if I could be coaxed into wearing one myself. Aside from just not being into it, it hits a bit of a sore spot: I look young enough that I still get mistaken for a high schooler every so often, sometimes by high schoolers. It doesn't really feel good.
I might do it if it was for someone I really, truly loved, if it wasn't a frequent thing. But there'd have to be a lot of trust between us, otherwise I'd probably feel silly and embarrassed.
