Bra-less... good? or bad?

Contributor: epiphanyjayne epiphanyjayne
I would never go with out a bra (or at least a support shelf bra built in) myself being a F38, unless I was super sick and going to the hospital or something. I'm not offended by a women going with a bra in public it just doesn't always look right. it also depends on what they're wearing, sometimes it just looks frumpy. And of course it depends where they are, like say Walmart you never know what your gonna see at your local Walmart.
I've seen a larger breasted woman wearing a tube top and even though she's not as perky as the smaller sizes I still thought she looked beautiful.

There was a time I would have said, "Her body, her choice." That was until I saw a very large, bra-less woman walking down the street flopping - enthusiastically - against her stomach. It wasn't so much that I cared than the example it sets for children. In a public place there are certain generally accepted standards that we all adhere to - like wearing clothing and not shitting in front of others.

So yes, there is a time and a place, but it's not so broad as to be wherever, whenever, her choice, in my opinion.

Bra-less... good? or bad?

Good for some.. Bad for some. Bras aren't getting banned, are they? No mandates forcing wear/non-wear, right? (In case I missed the memo)

I dislike wearing them and generally go without at home. However, the minute it becomes OK to go without in public I am burning them.

It also depends on the rest of the outfit, but usually I don't really care. It's them that have to deal with the sag and no support.

I don't care if other women go without their bras, but I bounce way too much to not wear a bra. It's painful sometimes

I don't really want to see strangers' nipples poking through or tits flopping around, but hey - your body, your decision, I guess.

I don't know-- I mean, if it's comfy, sure, but I heard it's good to always have support... if you don't feel like wearing a normal bra, maybe a comfy sports bra as another option?

I have to have one even though I have lost down to a 38-B. But, if others want to go without one and feel comfortable, so be it. It's not my place to tell anyone how to dress!

I don't think women should have to wear extra clothes, but I normally like wearing them.

I don't ever go out braless myself (D cup) but I'd never mind or care too much whether other women like going braless, big or small.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, just a personal choice for each woman to make.

I would not go without more than a few hours, because they would hurt and I would get pregnancy stripes. But if someone feels they dont need one, than I don't have a problem with that.

Hm.... unless they are Ms Chokesondick from Southpark

boobs aren't genitalia. anyone--esp a guy--who thinks women SHOULD wear a bra at any size--ugh. i get really upset.
i know that bras alleviate pain for many women. however that's far from universal. i have really large breasts and a small frame. "support!" well, yes, except no matter the bra (and i've been fitted multiple times by reputable fitters and tried many styles of quality bras) my neck and back ache, and ache terribly. they crack. i get awful headaches. when i wear a well-fitting wired bra, the straps bruise me. i also have sensory issues (unrelated), and the feeling of a wired bra repulses me. i get moody, anxious, angry.
when i don't wear a bra none of this happens. i still have a little soreness, but none of the real pain or emotional distress. of course i always wear a bra in public because the patriarchy sux and whatever i don't want to be jobless. women always /have/ to be sexualized just this much and the male gaze (which can be and is internalized by women) is eternally upon me. woe.

I'm fine with others doing whatever they want, but I can't go without a bra. Way too painful.

I don't really know why you wouldn't wear a bra, even if you're an A cup. I would feel weird going out without a bra.
