I'm looking for lingerie for a christmas gift and from the reviews, i've found conflicting information. According to the size chart a size 14-16 is an Xtra-large on most items, but many reviews i've read claim that the size chart is inaccurate. what lingerie size would be best for a size 14-16 (I haven't seen her for a while and she may have lost weight, further complicating matters of finding the right size) 42d breast size. the size chart says XL, but would a 2XL be safer, or would it likely be too big?

It depends on the manufacturer and often the piece you are looking at, since they are made of different materials.

I am roughly that size I go with XL, sometimes that is too big for me.

I pretty much don't buy any lingerie until I see one or two reviews on it. I don't want to deal with having to worry about sizing being totally off for different manufacturers, as it is a good majority of the time. Reviews help in the size decision process.
