Anyone know how the size runs on these? The size chart suggests a medium for my hips, but an XL for my waist. Can I split the difference with a large?

Hmm. I would base it on where you plan on wearing it the most. If you're like me, you'll be wearing it low on your hips more than up on your waist, so you'll want something that will stay there. I have the corset from that line and the thong that came with it was way too small, but the top itself was pretty forgiving.
