Would this do well on a short-waisted gal? I'm 5' 6" but shorter waisted and longer legged. I'm just wondering if you think it would work with that body style?

Agreed! The lines along the waist area should make your torso look longer as well. This is at the top of my lingerie wish list.

I'm short (5'0") and short waisted, and this fits great! It hits right below my tush and makes my waist look longer and leaner. I think your body type would look great in this.
