Help with lingerie sizing issues...

Hello there, fine people of EF!

I am of the pear-shaped variety, which does not lend itself well to sizing.

I'm looking in particular at buying myself a corset (especially this one: link), but even after reviewing size charts, I am at a loss for what to go with.

I wear about a 34B bra, but a size 11-12 pair of jeans, typically. In other words, tiny boobs and big hips! I'm inclined to go for a size L, but I'm also afraid my boobs are going to swim in the top portion.

Any words of wisdom for a pear-shaped sister?

I'm looking at the reviews and I see why you aren't sure. I can't find measurements. I think your breast might be swimming in the L. What's your hip measurement? The material of that corset is stretchy. If your hips are under 40-42"...you should be able to squeeze in the medium.

I am shaped like you are. Corest's are really the best pick. They work better for those who are shaped evenly. If you are too big on top or the bottom...you end up with the opposite end not fitting properly.

Babydolls, gowns, and chemises make the most flattering lingerie for the pears.

Unfortunately, my hips are right around the 41-42" area, and I usually have the most trouble fitting that part of my body into things. I'm thinking maybe if I find a corset that has decent enough lacing, I may be able to get away with a large if I can more tightly lace the bust portion in particular and leave the waist/hips loose.

I love corsets, and I'm afraid I just can't bring myself to try and be satisfied with something else I might just take a risk and see how a L works out for me and hope for a good return policy!
