I keep it in plastic drawers. I think it's better because wood can sometimes snag delicate pieces. And it's not necessary but I have a few bottles of lingerie wash to give them a 'brand new' feel.

clean stuff gets hung up. stuff that needs washed goes in a separate laundry bag. i found that if i don't separate it i accidentally wash it with regular clothes. also i separate any ribbons, garter straps etc.

thigh highs go in my sock drawer. i tend to wear them as socks anyways. bras and panties in a drawer- one for stuff i wear on a regular basis, separate drawer for items i don't wear normally such as crotchless undies.

Pieces that need to hang, I hang up in the closet on hangers.

Bra & panty sets, I store each in its own Ziploc bag (I don't seal them shut though) and keep it in a plastic basket on the closet shelf.

Stockings go in little bags, either with my bra & panty sets, or in my basket full of stockings on the closet shelf.

---Buy hangers that have the bottom bar for your corsets. When air drying or storing in your closet, drape the corset over the bottom rod and center it where the lacing in on top over the rod and the material is hanging straight down. This helps the corset keep its shape & straightens the material, which makes ironing unnecessary.

When you store the corset in this manner, it takes up a lot less room in the closet, is neater and better organized, allows for easy identification, creates less of a tangle with the hangers, straps and slipping, and does not misshape your garment from an improper fit on the hanger. It also cuts down on any snags that may happen when pulling other items out of your closet.

---Bodystockings, nylons, fishnet and lace chemises or dresses I keep either in the original box or a plastic bag with the box face taped to the interior of the bag. The garment will not snag, your lingerie drawer is neat and compact & the garment is easy to identify.

---Babydolls, chemises, and gowns I hang on the hanger and place it back into the bag. This helps prevent snagging and tears, keeps the closet neater by not allowing straps to tangle with other hangers and makes it easy to grab your outfit and put it on. When removing the outfit, I do NOT remove the hanger from the bag. I roll the bag up to the top of the hanger, remove the outfit and re-hang the empty bag.

---Stockings go in one gallon sized ziplock bag, one color per bag. I do knot them in pairs prior to placing in the bag. Special decorative ones go in small ziplocks then into a special bag.

---Fancy underwear goes into a drawer that has a divider made from cardboard. This separates it from my daily wear undies.

---Bras get stacked on one hanger with one set of cups inside the other to preserve the shape. I do have a hanger with a folded square of cardboard over it. On one side of the cardboard I traced the edges of Leggs nylon eggs and cut them out with a razor knife. I placed the eggs inside the holes and folded the other side, which has industrial Gorilla glue under the egg area and let it dry. I taped all four edges together with duct tape and then wrapped the square with Saran Wrap. This makes a great form for the bra cups. To keep them all on the hanger, I use two clips like the ones used on potato chip bags. Clip all the straps in place at once.

Most of mine are either hung up or in a separate drawer. Nothing crazy really.

My corsets, bustiers, and babydolls are all hung up. My bra and panty sets, along with my stockings, have a separate bag in my closet where I just kind of throw everything in. I keep them separate from my everyday bras and panties.

This thread is definitely going to be something that I need to find later, because I really don't have a lot of storage know-how. I keep all my underwear in the same drawer - special stuff is all lumped right in with the rest. Not only that, but the other half of the drawer contains all of my tights and stockings - I just knot them together loosely and pop them in there as well. My costumes all hang in a closet, as well as my petticoats. My bras lie flat on the top shelf in my closet, and my corsets are stored in their own separate drawer. I suppose that I don't have a whole bunch of lingerie to worry about, but I definitely hope to in the near future!

Some of this is habits picked up from working for VS. The rest is me just being nutzo.

I have two dressers, one tall 4-drawer one, and a long 9-drawer one, with the 3 middle drawers being smaller and behind a cute little door.

Long dresser:
Top left drawer - My everyday socks & underwear are in this drawer, the panties all individually folded like VS used to do. Socks are folded, one into the other, so that only the very ends of the toes stick out. They can't tangle easily this way - important, because I have a lot of knee socks. The socks are tossed in around the panties.
Middle & Bottom left drawer - This is where my sexy clothes & lingerie that I use for camming are kept. I have everything folded fairly small, and sets are folded with all the smaller components (panties, maid aprons, gloves, etc.) in the folds of the larger piece. Everything's in a stack of "what it is": sleepshirts, skirts, shorts, sets, vests, tops, nighties.
Top middle drawer - shapewear, including control pantyhose and Spanx. Each type of item neatly folded and stacked for easy retrieval.
True middle drawer (like True Neutral, get it?) - Camming/sexy panties. Folded, with the fronts facing to the left because the drawer works best that way. Panties I'm going to sell are between the other panties and the front of the drawer, not really folded or anything.
Bottom middle drawer - Slips, folded neatly. I only have two half-slips right now, but that collection will grow.
Right top drawer - Camming bras and bikini tops, clasped and laying flat, nestled inside one another.
Middle right drawer - Hosiery and accessories. Tights folded and in one pile, fishnet tights/pantyhose/whate ver they are in another, thigh-highs and stockings folded in pairs in another, garter belts folded and stacked, and trouser socks/knee-high hosiery (not socks) folded like socks.
Bottom right drawer - Weather-determined items. Hats, gloves, scarves, thermals, my husband's swim trunks because I haven't done anything with any of his clothes (aside from throwing away his underwear) yet.

Tall dresser:
Top drawer - Casual clothes that I don't want to waste room in the closet with.
Second drawer - Everyday bras, clasped and standing up (they're really big and can't lay down well), nestled inside each other.
Third drawer - Kink/sex toys/books.
Bottom drawer - Clothes that are too small.

Bra tip: Never, ever, ever! Fold the cups of a bra into one another. This causes the material of the bra cup to deteriorate, causing the bra to be worn out, lose support/shape ability, create odd lines/shapes under clothing, and need to be replaced sooner than normal. As someone whose cup size requires the purchase of $60+ bras, I go nuts when I see people abuse their bras like that!
