I try it out with a few different variations and hope they will come to like it. Usually only a couple of times and then out it goes if there is no compromise.

For my fiancee and I, a costume has to be something we both like, but we do have similar interests. I think it's very fair for a couple to "switch off" between costumes if interests are different.

I know any costume my fiancee likes will turn me on. Hopefully you find that it's the same in your situation!

My boyfriend has never told me he disliked any lingerie. I know he prefers certain things over others, but he's happy anytime I wear lingerie because he knows he's gonna get some and he likes that I put effort into looking good for him.

I kinda agree Sapphire. My goal is to arouse and seduce him. However, I wanna be seduced too. So if I think I make a damned hot nurse, why can't I enjoy a costume myself?
I have a lingerie item that I showed my boyfriend and he wasn't too keen on it. So I did avoid it for awhile, but one of the things I realized is I CAN HAVE MY CAKE AND EAT IT TOO. I deserve to be happy and feel sexy.

So I bought it. When I wore it for him, I felt very sexy and wild and he was very turned on.
He might have been turned on cause I was turned on and we compromised.
Hopefully he cares about you enough to at least see you in the outfit before he shuts it out.

I guess I'm different; clothing doesn't make me feel sexy or unsexy and his reaction is the only thing that matters. I tend to be turned on by non-physical things.

I'm not really much of a costume person, but for lingerie I buy what I like and what makes me feel sexy. It is a bonus to me if my partner likes it as well. I think my partners have been more turned on by my increased confidence from my feeling sexy in an outfit than the actual outfit itself.

I agree with Bignuf and Sapphire - when I wear lingerie or a costume it's for my man to enjoy. I feel sexy in lingerie period, so I try to focus on what he likes to look at. He always tells me I could put on a potato sack and still be sexy, so far he's liked everything I've picked out, and he's made a few costume requests too. (Which I am happy to oblige. )

well lets say the woman finds nurse costumes sexy and wants to try it out but the significant other is like MEh about nurses but may find you looking quite sexy int he outfit and ignore the fact its a nurse outfit...

I think if that is the case its ok to wear something like that once in a while..u know maybe a guy doesnt care about high heels or pay attention to your shoes but he can notice you are over all looking nice and sexy..

He isn't really picky and we have similar tastes in lingerie. I have gotten things that aren't his favorites because I like them. However, I've never gone out of my way to get something that he didn't like.

That would just be a waste of money to me. But it sounds like something I would do as a joke because I just have a weird sense of humor. In any case, I buy lingerie based on what makes me feel good, because if it makes me feel confident and happy, I think that's more important than what the piece is itself.
