Not really -- it all depends on your own requirements. Budget brands will work, but they might not be as good quality-wise as the higher end brands.

I have sensitive skin and I hate sticky and messy lubes, so I'd rather spend $13 on a nice bottle of Sliquid H2O, instead of getting an inexpensive brand. The Sliquid H2O water-based lube comes in a generous 4.2 oz bottle, and should last for quite a while.

If they work for you, use them and save your money for more toys!

If you like it then use it. I am on a budget and am still shocked at the price of toys. I hate to spend a lot of money to find out we don't like it.

Use it if it works for you. It's not bad for your health just because of the price.
