Well, there are a few things that will help here. If he's interested in trying an oil type thing, Sensuous is a fantastic product and while it's runny, it shouldn't dry out on him at all. Boy Butter is more solid, but still an oil based lube that's gotten very good reviews. Bodyfluid is an absolutely fantastic silicone lubricant, and Shunga's Toko Aroma is a great water based one. If he doesn't want something flavored or scented, he could try the unscented version. My husband isn't terribly picky and has been using the lubes we've been less fond of just to get rid of them, so having to reapply wasn't a big deal to him, but when he's used the Toko Aroma, I don't think he had to reapply at all.

Anymore, I just use water-based lubes with a sleeve. I'm using Maximus now, and I like it. It still dries out after a bit with the sleeve, but nowhere near as fast as using my hand. When I use my hand, I prefer the oil-based lubes, personally. I have tried the Bodyfluid that Sam suggested, and although it is an excellent silicone lube, I don't like it for masturbation. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it feels...stiff (if you'll pardon the pun)...after a short period after it interacts with the air. Honestly, I'd rather keep reapplying (or adding water to) water-based lubes over Bodyfluid when it comes to masturbation.

I find that the new mixed silicone/water based lube is really good for masturbation.
